NYE at Epcot

Is the 730 presentation of IllumiNations the same as the 1140 showing? Will there be any count down involved?

Never done an Epcot NYE before...and I'm not sure I was as impressed as I thought I would be by that NYE tag on the Early Bird show as I thought I would be.

Anyone?

What exactly was the NYE tag on the 7:30 show? I was under the impression that the earlier showing of IllumiNations had no tag, not even Peace on Earth.

Each IllumiNations begins with good ol' Reflections of Earth. The first one (which just ended a few minutes ago) is capped with the Peace on Earth holiday tag. The second show features a special countdown tag in which fireworks are set off at each country pavilion in the order of their respective time zones, and is subsequently concluded with an explosive spectacle of apocalyptic fury.

Definitely did Peace on Earth. The entire tag was about 5 minutes. Lots of low fireworks, then all of the countries lit up one by one as they said new year wishes and peace on earth in their own languages. And finally a ridiculous amount of mid and high fireworks as the globe kinda did a rainbow rave type show...

Sorry I can't be more technical but typing on the Storm only works so well! =/

Ah Hah... So first show was Holiday tag! It had been about 3 years since I've seen it...guess I forgot. In glad I'm not gonna be sitting here for another 4 hours for the same show though. I'm excited again.

And as always I have the Worldly World Showcase IllumiNations Rave Preshow music to keep me entertained!

Oh okay, it was Peace on Earth. I thought maybe they had a scaled down New Years' tag for the earlier show. But you did a good job of explaining. Thanks!

RoE was perfect. PoE was amazing. Thelasers and synchros were programmer to some techno for a little right after the show. China has LPG cannons on, Italy is blaring techno and there is a giant dance party on the stage of the AG theater. I'm sitting outside the liberty inn about to walk around to check out the parties and world showplace bathrooms:D. I also have cell trouble

As in the ones right before first aid? I thought Mr. Epcot was talking about bathrooms that weren't normally opened. =/

Those are good ones though. But the ones inside Odyssey usually see even less foot traffic. AND they have a charming late 1980s decor to them still! =)

Less than 2 hours until the next showing of IllumiNations! =)

Good luck using a bathroom... my wife and I were there a two years ago, I stood in line for nearly 2 hours to use the bathroom. I'd hate to see how long the women's wait was....

It's a good thing to go see once, just to say you've done it... but never again! :ROFLOL:

Can't believe I'm about to say this but EE was right search was my friend...

Here ya go...
It is between Canada and the UK. It was built for the Millennium celbrations, and served as a multiple country exhibit. Since then, it is used for special events. It has the largest bathrooms I have ever seen!

Haha. Way to use the search to its full potential! And thank you for that info! We'll check it out in 2010 right after the fireworks are over and hopefully only have a short wait before we hit the last 45 minutes of the dance parties in World Showcase!

Oh, very good to hear! :D Perfect way to start off 2010!

Love how they keep the lasers on. Wish they would do that regularly.
