Posts made in the Chit Chat or Test Board forums aren't added to your post tally that appears underneath your screen name. Only posts made in other forums are added to this tally...

Yes, often older threads will be deleted and any posts made in those threads will be deleted as well...

On another note, if a post is in a deleted thread, so the post "goes away" does that mean the other thread about "when was the first time anybody said (fill in the blank)" is bogus?
