No More Great Goofini?

With the picture of the new map showing storybook circus added, I found it interesting that the barnstormer is still called the barnstormer instead of the great goofini as seen in the concept art and such. Any idea why that might be?

Huh... good catch. I do think I see an asterisk beside Barnstormer on the list.

The asterisk is because the Storybook Circus rides aren't open yet. It says 'Scheduled to open late February 2012.'

I have a feeling at some point they will take it down for the re-theme.

They have in recent time been calling it "Barnstormer with the Great Goofini". I think it is going to be one of those that ends up being called different things, like Toy Story (Midway) Mania.

It is currently down and being rethemed. Do you think they'll do it again later?

Why does the new map of Magic Kingdom have Barnstormer on? I thought it was renamed?

The new map that has storybook circus attractions on it, looks like they call “The Great Goofini,”(I thought it was the new name), "The Barnstormer"(old). Is that right?

This was answered in another thread. It appears that the ride will be called "The Barnstormer featuring the Great Goofini"

Attraction names just keep getting longer and longer, don't they? :lookaroun

2005 - Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show
2007 - Expedition Everest: Legend of the Forbidden Mountain
2011 - Star Tours: The Adventures Continue
2012 - The Barnstormer featuring the Great Goofini
2012 - Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid

Not that I really care; we'll always just shorten them to our little nicknames and acronyms anyway. I'll take a long-winded named attraction like EE:LOTFM over a concisely-named attraction like Stitch's Great Escape. Just an interesting trend.

They are doing some work on it I know, if you look at the overhead views. I don't know how much it will be re-themed, but I do believe at least the lift hill support has been changed.

it's a minor retheme of a minor coaster...I don't care what they call it. It's a cute little ride that I'll go on once each vacation.

Strictly speaking, Walt Disney World's name is "The Walt Disney World Resort" so you can add that. Also it's Circus' (The 'es' followed by an apostrophe implies that multiple circuses own the Barnstormer).

So how About "Storybook Circus' The Barnstormer: Featuring The Great Goofini part of the all-new Fantasyland Forest experience at the Magic Kingdom Park's Fantasyland, part of The Walt Disney World Resort in Florida."

We'll definitely have to shorten that for the boards!

"I just got back from WDW and had a great ride on SCTBFTGGpotanFFeatMKPFpoTWDWRiF!"

See, thats much easier to type.
