Aw, c'mon -- they're on vacation!
Any excuse will do, no?

Sadly, I believe BoG is considered "signature" for dinner. He's not wrong here. A lot of non-sig restaurants have cut bread service, including BoG, Tony's and most MK places.
I don’t typically notice whether or not bread is brought out, but I’m guessing if it was important enough for you to ask, they’d bring you something (?)

Then you just do not know how Disney operates. They look for ways to restructure and save on expenses before cutting hours and laying off. Penny pinching is wishful thinking. What, are you for real?! You think they are eliminating free bread to save CM jobs, not just out of penny pinching cheapness?
Besides saving money, what else does eliminating free bread service do?
1) reduced table loitering
2) enhanced appetizer ordering
3) reduced plate and silverware washing
4) CM servers make one less trip to the table

Don't forget butter for that bread $$$$$$$Disney’s new Appetizer+! You’ll enjoy paying for all manners of appetizers with our new system. What once was free is now even more magical as you savor the bread that you just paid for! Bon-appetite!
You’ll have to upgrade to Appetizer Deluxe if you would like butter.Don't forget butter for that bread $$$$$$$
Two of these are jokes, one is sincere...unfortunately.

I would expect Italian bread at an Italian restaurant the same way I’d expect chips & salsa at a Mexican restaurant. The bread at the Coral Reef and at Tony's are both excellent. It would be stupid to get rid of it. This seems like a small thing, but it would really upset me if they follow through on this.
Lol actually I would love if they went to electronic receipts. I get almost everything "e-" receipt. Those paper ones get easily lost and/or destroyedSoon we will discontinue offering free receipts after you make a purchase at Disney Parks®. In order to see your receipt, and to enable returns/exchanges, we will begin charging a modest fee of $5.99 per transaction.
