No more free bread at table service....

Not really. The original story (headlined as a rumor), states they were told directly by one manager that it was being eliminated at Epcot restaurants. An MK restaurant also said it was gone and it was being considered at others, via a CM at a third restaurant. That's not unsubstantiated; it's reporting.
I bet they sourced a lot of bus drivers too. Unscrupulous and his people have a reputation amongst cast members, primarily for the dreadful way CoreLESS has treated them. Just remember he’s gotten fed a lot of bad information before that he runs with right away and embellishes often leading to a walk back and more recently public rebukes from Disney directly.

Be very doubtful of anything that comes from that site. It’s not even worth a click when you can get reliable information here at WDWMAGIC.

I know it may seem silly at this point but I do want to share my experience. I dined at Be Our Guest at the end of February for dinner. We asked for bread and were told very specifically that bread is no longer served in the MK. My friend had an allergy menu and tapioca rolls were even highlighted on the menu. Our server said they didn’t have the new menus but no sit down restaurants in MK served bread anymore. She was very uncomfortable having to say that because we were obviously confused. “Wait - like you don’t have any bread at all? Even the one on the menu?” I have a few friends who reported similar experiences at other MK restaurants INCLUDING CRT. Again, I don’t know if anyone cares but I just wanted to say it wasn’t a rumor and the cast had all been told it was official. Disney May be changing their tune or hoping this topic goes away. I’m not sure. But the bread was gone. Just sharing!!

Thanks for sharing. It seems to be the “cool” thing to bash this other site (that I have never visited) but it didn’t seem like someone would just randomly make up that they were told “bread is no longer being served in this park.”

The fact that you were told the same thing, in another park, is just more proof that this was indeed a property wide decision.

I’m hoping that the other site helped make WDW reverse this decision.

So here’s the question, does Disney reverse decision when they see articles bashing them on the website that shall not be named, or on boards like here where it’s a ton of people discussing the quality in the parks going down?

They certainly reversed the Epcot movie decision pretty quick.

Less reverse than waste time putting out releases to the contrary, answering countless phone calls and emails of the same; wasting company time for something that may have been a non-entity to begin with....

I personally don't eat the free bread cause it's added unwanted calories and carbohydrates. If I know I can walk off all those calories after in the park, I would but most of the time I just want to sleep and go on relaxing rides after eating a lot.

So between the original report and the members of this board who have posted-

Be Our Guest at MK - guests were told bread service is no longer offered.

Tony’s Town Square - guests were told bread service is no longer offered.

Coral Reef - guests were told bread service is no longer.

That’s 3 different restaurants and 3 different reports... I don’t think this was some crazy rumor.

It’s good that Disney made an official statement. Hopefully that will reverse this situation.

Thought I'd share this little thread on here.

I don’t visit the website in question and have no interest in defending its owner, but whatever issues one may have with him in general, this particular rumour does not appear to have been entirely without foundation. See the post at the top of this page from someone who was refused bread at Be Our Guest recently.

I have a friend who ate at Coral Reef the same day this rumor started and she said they were served bread not only at coral reef but also at all their table service restaurants including Mama Melrose's.

The original article always said bread was still being served at Mama Melrose, so that part is not surprising at all.
