No more dark ride through Space Mountain?

Rode the TTA tonight (5/17) and other then the lights being on during an extended period around 6 and 7pm, the Peoplemover had the lights off throughout the entire ride including Space Mountain.

A friend also said the issue was fixed yesterday.

Martin, have you heard anything about the Star Tunnel music returning to the WEDWay tunnel? Also, is the "shooting star" effect still visible?

I wonder what happend to the color-changing LED lights they installed along the track. They were testing the changing colors but I believe now they are largely static.

Was there on 5/15, Rode SM and the lights were on in TTA, seeing the track so clearly on SM makes me feel like i'm going to be decapitated. I'm tall, and those tracks are pretty close together. I'm really hoping this all gets sorted out soon, it ruins both rides.

(i know i'm just stating what everyone else has said, but hey, the more people who experience it, the more troublesome you know the problem is.)

A couple of weeks ago I noticed that the ride operator control panel had a taped-on message saying to LEAVE THE WORKLIGHTS ON. I didn't ask anyone, but I'm inclined to believe that they intentionally left it lit up to do work (such as automating the lights for the future)

Old news, since I last rode in September, but I did notice there were moving visuals added since 2009. Still images moving across the ceiling like the asteroids, a comet (!) and the like. The original starfield projectors were swapped for new versions similar to what SSE has but on more than one occasion one or more moving units were missing motion. The shooting stars (as you turn hard right on the TTA) are still very much visible.

Audio wise, I`m told the TTA in-mountain audio is a hotch potch since there are now issues with the feeds from DACS. Anything added since 2009 is sourced locally. So I`m told.

Rode tonight, dark inside Space Mountain, however throughout the rest of the track, the lights, which are normally different sets of colors for mood lighting, were all white, which normally used to only come on when the ride was stopped. Kind of weird. I hope its temporary, the colored lighting really added to the mood at night time.

Really? So the whole rest of the track circling Tomorrowland was the white work lights?

Also, side note. Wasn't the ''mood lighting" you're speaking of suppose to change colors when it was initially installed? I recall something of those sorts being mentioned, but maybe I'm mistaken.

Yeah, everything except the tunnels/Space Mountain was the white worklights.

I think by "changing colors" they may have meant "each section has a different color"

I have noticed there is no uniform to the audio in there. Sometimes you hear, paging mr morrow mr tom morrow, and then other times it doesnt play at all. Along with some of the music and sound effects. Hopefully they will get it fixed. Even though this has been discussed a lot I know, everything was perfectly fine until they had to go and change the narration, just like with SE. Everything was smooth running until its redo. I wish they would learn that if its not broke dont fix it unless its going to truly be for the better and run right.

I was told that the white lighting instead of the color shifting ones outside could also be a result of spacing problems with the trains. The ride operators may be having a difficult time to spot potential train collisions after restarting the ride. Supposedly they have some sort of spectrum analyzer hooked up to the ride console and may be trying to troubleshoot recent issues.
