No Cindy Breakfast For Us

WELL!

Today was the last day for calling for ressies (60 days in advance). Some mornings they were open a few minutes before 7- some mornings you could call 30 secs before and they were not open. Someone here said to go by the atomic clock but even that did not work for us.

That's ok-- there is only room for so many people! Better luck next time. We can do lunch there instead ;)

But I am dreading getting that phone bill-- a lot of calls, a lot of minutes on hold, long distance! *shudder*

Well, we've tried for all the days we're going to be there. I can't believe how fast it books up!

There are like a billion and a half other character breakfasts though. We can do one of those :) and have a non-character meal in the castle.

So- anyone want to suggest a good one? I've done the Contemporary, the Liberty Tree (for dinner), Soundstage and Breakfastosaurus.

Have you checked WDWIG.com? They have a complete list, I think.

If you haven't tried it yet, we love the Garden Grill at Epcot. The restaurant rotates above The Land boat ride, so you get to see all the scenes from it. It's an all you can eat with really fatty delicious food brought to your table. The characters have a farming theme with overalls etc.

I liked the old garden grill though....it used to be darker (I am taking early 80's here)...but now it is really bright :)

DMC, you're just kind of a dark person, aren't you? ;)

I liked it (garden grill) dark....it was neat...you could hear the storm in the Land...in the background.... very cool setting to eat in...while spinning....
when my parents first told me we would be eating in a spinning resturant when I was a kid...the first thing I though of was "Tilt-a-whirl" and I said I am not eating there....I was terrified of the tilt-a-whirl when I was little...and my parents would drag me on that thing... I have some deep mental scars Thanks mom and dad  ;)

I know that Tony's Townsquare is offering a charecter meal since the Crystal Palace is closed. You can try there.
I would try back 24hours before the date you wanted. You must cancel 24 hours in advance or you will be charged a fee. You may get lucky if there has been a cancellation. I would even go as far as calling every day to check for one. Don't give up!

Erika - The Garden Grill also does an ice cream social at 3pm, where you get a great sundae, and I mean great! Also, the characters are there Mickey, Pluto, Chip & Dale. If you're looking for a break in the afternoon, you'll love this & the characters there are a blast!

Well, if it makes you feel any better, your descirption if it as "dark" and "spinning" sort of brought the exprerience of a gravatron to mind so I can sort of understand your concern as a child! ...

That's one of the few places in a Disney park I've never eaten and I really don't even know why. I'll have to make it a priority to go there sometime soon.

Hi Erika!
Im sorry to hear about the Princess Breakfast! But I thought you might like to know that Ohanas in the Poly has a wonderful character breakfast with lots of games and such, and what a great atmosphere too! Please consider it:) I think you would love it:)

Back in the "old days"...1982 - 1992...we would eat there almost every trip, because it had the best vegetarian selections. I noticed that the menu had changed , and there are many more selections at all of the restaurants, so we haven't been in years! ;)

I'm not sure what sort of food is being served there now....I think it's time for another visit!

Erika. Sorry :( You can still be a princess. Also try again when you get there. It isn't over until it is over. I love Garden Grill. Chef Mickey is great. We enjoyed the breakfest at Cape May at Beach Club too. So many restrants, so little time.

Have a great trip anyway. Remember magic happens. :)

I WILL be a princess

(I'm dressing up for the Halloween party. :D )

I am loving all these suggestions. I've been passing them on to the others. We had actually thought about 'Ohanas, if not for breakfast, then for lunch or something. The Norway breakfast also could be neat-O.

You are right PhD about so many places and so little time. How to make room in the day for eating AND attractions...Hmmmmm...
