No ADR's ??

This post made me realize we have never gone to Disney without some sort of ADR LOL. Being a major foodie, my love for Disney food ranks right up there. However, not having ADRs, you may experience new restaurants, that you normally wouldn't have considered. That's a good thing :) You could always ask the Concierge Desk at your resort to check availabilities for ressies each night too. Kind of sounds exciting! LOL

We leave for the world in 36 days :D
Have booked no ADR's ( only one we ever booked was CRT on our honeymoon)
Am i completely weird in not being bothered by the dining experience ?

We are going in June and only booked 2 dinners for 8 days. Since free dining wasn't offered they totally lost our money this trip. We are even driving and bringing our own breakfast foods.

We may even cancel the via Napoli one (although I LOVE that place)and just keep our sons birthday dinner.

Deb I completely agree! We are hitting all of the QS that we never do because we want to eat lighter for lunch because of dinner adrs! I started making a list:

Columbia harbor house
Tortugas(it will be open yay!)
The world showcase QS!

Yum! I am kinda excited!

I went once on DDP with no ADRs. It was my first trip eating TS and I had no idea I was supposed to make ADRs! I was able to get into Tutto Italia, Marrakesh, and Nine Dragons, to name a few. But we were laughed out of Coral Reef when we tried to get in! We had a minor wait at the others, but nothing terrible. We did get an awful table in Italy, literally 2 inches from another couple who kept butting into our conversation (I was with a girlfriend of mine). I will admit that it was nice to be able to "go with the flow," but I much prefer knowing that there will be availability for me!

The only time we make a lot of adrs is when we are on the dining plan. Several times we have gone for 2 weeks with none at all, but have eaten at many of the top ts restaurants and also tried some good ones that we wouldn't perhaps have booked.

One night at Epcot there was a sign outside Guest Relations advising that there were no table service dinner reservations available for that day at any restaurant. Half an hour later we walked into Nine Dragons and were seated immediately - and an excellent meal it was. We've also had fireworks view at R&C with no resie, a real bonus!

Nope, we don't book many ADRs either. This trip in June we've planned it so that we have none. But we are hoping for a walk-up at T-Rex.

Looking for the same thing at TREX .. have to say we have always been seated wherever we wanted to try with minimal fuss.Might be that it is just me and DW and we are pretty flexible with timing etc and tend to eat @ different hours to the main rush

Same with us. It's either three or seven of us (depending on if we go with another group). Even with the odd numbers, we usually get seated within 30 minutes. T-Rex has never been a problem. Both times we've gone it's been a walk-up. But we do eat at off hours it seems.

I like your list already!!! There are some great QS restaurants at the resorts too!! (Sassagoula Floatworks, Captain Cooks, Roaring Fork) We love Sleepy Hollow for waffle sammies! Sigh, I'm making myself hungry LOL
