Total lunacy ... ... can't we have a 'No WRE for MK thread?'

How about a 'No Mount Fuji or Matterhorn for EPCOT?'

Or how about a bit more responsibility here and put the drivel somewhere else ...

Wow you aren't very smart are you? It is simple if you do not like a thread do not post in it!

No he's right. People should stop posting the same rumors over and over again.

You seem to be rather new here,74 has a problem with everything everyone posts. That is the nature of discussion forms when it is a slow news time old topics get rehashed.

You think people are bad here try going to siebetron.com a transformers board. You think stuff gets heated and rehashed here, you haven't seen anything till you have been there.

Actually, I think it's most people have a problem with everything the Spirit posts, not the other way around. The Spirit would love to have a normal adult conversation, but that's not what most of these threads are.

It's a forum....Dupe topics are meant to be had. Otherwise, noting would ever get talked about.

Like a coral reef area.

I could see an Australia walk through that has a reef of sorts instead of an aviary, that could definitely work.

In terms of expansion and new rides, I think we are set. :)

We need several good refurbs, (SM!!), a 40th Promotion, and the addition of several cut things to be brought back.

After that, we can work on replicating a Disneyland-esque business model based on OUR travel and traffic patterns.

:)

I disagree - even after the Fantasyland expansion, there are still several capacity issues that need to be addressed. Magic Kingdom needs a D/E ticket thrill ride, probably in Adventureland. Epcot needs a D/E ticket ride in World Showcase, and the Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios need some dark rides.

Hey, if you want more, I'm all for it!

I agree, BTW....It would be quite awesome to just keep rolling out new things on that scope, but even I think it's a tad unrealistic. It needs time.

Over the past 10 years it seems there is always a significant new edition. The problem is that the timeline that we're in right now is a little tough:

April 08: Toy Story Mania
December 09: Spaceship Earth Refurbishment
January 09: American Idol Experience
November 09: Space Mountain Refurbishment
October 2011: Star Tours 2.0

Although I'm expecting the new Star Tours to be a significant upgrade over the existing attraction, that's a pretty sizeable gap.

I know he's no longer at the helm, but there was something that Jay Rasulo said sometime last year that indicated a time line that was acceptable between major additions, it was something like 6 years. If you consider Everest the last E-Ticket, and Mermaid the next one, that's fitting. However, if they're looking at 2018 as the next E-Ticket after Mermaid, I'd expect a lot of people heading over to Universal.

Very true...but at the same time as this, quality was slipping, things were taken away, prices go up. They have to add while adding. Otherwise it's just equilibrium.

It's always been this way and with the same complaints. It just seems louder now with the emergence of the internet. It's just the normal business cycle of WDW and you will see the emphasis move back to WDW as DCA's plans are realized. Notice nothing major is planned for Disneyland itself. Yet DCA and the rest of the DLR is seeing major investment.

WDW is in a slow period for theme parks development but it can hardly be said it is a slow period for WDW overall as major investment has gone into the DVC's and infrastructure in general.

But now we see the first evidence that the priority is turning back to the theme parks starting with the MK expansion.

Yes indeed, that makes me really happy and lets me know that they indeed still care about WDW and that they are back to improve the theme parks' quality.

Yeah, jt. We know. You are optimistic for the future. I am too. I'll just feel more comfortable when I can SEE this happening...not read about it.

They arn`t "back". Not by a long shot.

Things are heading in a better direction though.
They look to be..but still, I wonder...

They are... Now let's hope they continue that way and not just simply say that well, now that we've given 'em something, that should keep em calm for another decade.

Am I the only one that thinks a Europe land makes quite a bit of sense for the Animal Kingdom? It would allow for the integration of mythical animals as most are European based.

The problem is, it would run the risk of being too similair to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

I completely agree and then they could tie in the lion the witch and the wardrobe since it is a huge set of movies for disney.....only question is would there be any REAL animals in this area...

I would think they could put in smaller exhibits like those around the tree of life. Things like Spanish Linx or Ibex Goats are interesting animals, however I would anticipate anything around Europe would be largely focused on mythical animals.
