Theming at the level of ripsaw falls . Have you rode either ride?? The theming in the entire Donkey Kong area is excellent, and is among some of the best work either Universal or Disney has ever put out. Sorry that one awful POV ruined your opinion of an entire land before you even got a chance to experience it for yourself!

If you want to compare DK to anything then 7 dwarfs is the direct competitor. As far as theming goes 7 Dwarfs is by far superior to a brick building painted in Gold. Not even up for debate. DK is more comparable to an indoor dreamwork coaster in my opinion. Dk's budget is relatively small in the scheme of theme park rides.

The biggest issue is that it will inevitably have several-hour long queue waits and it's simply not that level of attraction.

The Mario section of the land looks great and I actually think the Yoshi ride is charming for what it is (and it should have minimal wait times).

I do hope they take a different theming approach with Luigi's Mansion.

if Japan is any indication, Yoshi will not have low wait times. I went to Universal in 2021 on an off season day and we waited over an hour and a half for it.

From the Nintendo Direct video there was a part where they showed the station, and it looked like about 15 seconds between dispatches. At 4 people per car x 4 dispatches a minute, that's 960 riders per hour. It really needs to be at least 50% more than that.

It visually looks way way better than Seven Dwarves in my opinion, but I've always preferred jungle/adventure theming the most. Adventureland is my favorite land at MK by far! The Orlando Donkey Kong will be even more impressive than Japan's, and will even have a real waterfall! I think my opinions will resonate with the majority of people and it already has. People love Donkey Kong at USJ and I've already seen a lot of people call it the best ride in the park or the best ride in Super Nintendo World!

but yeah imo yoshi is not worth more than 10 minutes. The view of SNW is not particularly any good and even with the slow speed the ride feels short.

It definitely needed more dark ride scenes. I feel like Suess Trolley has better show scenes(that were likely largely designed in 1999)

I feel like Mario Kart's AR tech would have been a much better fit for Luigi's Mansion, especially with how the tech has that inherent transparency that's PERFECT for ghosts. Shame they probably wouldn't want to reuse it for another SNW attraction...

If you look at the forcast for the parent corporations bread and butter operations, Comcast Cable, its not very cheery. They road the peak of the wave a bit too far before diversifying and its losing its inertia.

Their bread and butter isn't video (most of that goes to the suppliers and stations anyways). It's the internet (and to a lesser extent phone). Thats where the profit is.

You are overlooking Epcot and Disney Sea and even Islands of Adventure. It’s either 3 or 4 out of 7. With possibly the worst state a resort has ever been in as it looks to add its newest gate.

i agree, if they used that vr for a luigis mansion on an omnimover that coulda been sweet, shame they used it for a slow moving meh mario kart attraction. Im still hopeful that EU is a great park though

Exactly. EPIC is a dang strong(er) new park line up and I don't know why people are on its opening day set like it should have what a park ten to fifteen years old will have.
