It's been a tough 2 yrs for wifey and me being unemployed and struggling financially (who isn't now-a-days). We've been "Mouse-addicts" for years, and always enjoy time at WDW, but this time, it was OVER THE TOP!
Had a job interview in Orlando over this past weekend and had one free day so...We took a quick trip to DTD-WDW on Monday 3/28/11. Day was a rainout bigtime all morning so we had to run from the parking lot to the first store we saw to avoid the daily "monsoon". Left Once Upon A Toy to the Christmas Shop to The Art Of Disney then had lunch at Rainforest Cafe.
Went to pay for lunch and NIGHTMARE started...NO WALLET! First thing I thought pocket was picked. Waitress said retrace your steps and ask each mgr. We did at each place we had been. The guy (don't know his name) at Art of Disney (worked register far left wall as you enter) went from CM to CM and asked of anyone had turned in a wallet. Nope. He was a HUGE help and said go to GUEST RELATIONS by Guillideli so we went. Told MICHAEL at desk (from Aberiden MD) and he just smiled. He want in the back and came out. I actually cried from the joy that someone had turned in my wallet, loaded with cash, and both my wife's and my DL's. We had flown in for a few days for a job interview in Orlando and decided to do this visit just for a breather. Could have been the BIGGEST NIGHTMARE of our lives with no way to fly back home, no cash, no credit cards, etc....MICHAEL and the crew at GUEST RELATIONS were by far the most helpful, most polite, more informing, and by FAR the best CM's we had ever experienced in 20+ yrs of visiting WDW.
To :sohappy:Michael, the guy at Art of Disney:sohappy:, the person who actually picked up my wallet and took it to GR:sohappy:, I say THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART for making a day that could have been one of the worst be one day we will NEVER forget!
THANK YOU GUYS & GIRLS for making all our dreams more memorable!
From a TRULY GRATEFUL couple of "kids-at-heart"
