If you watch the game you would see it. Clutching and grabbing. Granted its not all the officials fault, goal scoring is.

I think TB and Philly are so evenly matched.
I practically have a heart attach watching each game!
No worries though. We'll win in Philly, then carry the mommentum into Tampa.

The officials don't let the skill players play their games

This has been an ongoing issue for a number of years now. So is it that Detroit has all these skill players and thats why the officials pick on them more or is that they just don't like Detroit? What your missing is that the missed calls go against every team in the league. And do you also miss the fact that these skill players are also allowed to get away with more themselves?

Calls that would be 2 minutes in the regular season are missing in the post season. Thats the reason the low payroll teams make it farther, they are able to get away with holding and hooking all through out the play offs, because they can certainly not skate with the more advanced players and teams like the Red Wings and Senators

Huh? Seriously? The way games are called in the playoffs is very different than how they are called in the regular season. I'm sure you've been a hockey fan long enough to recognize that.:veryconfu

The NHL needs more owners like Mike Illitch, his passion for the game brings the viewers to detroit. You watch games around the country, and when the wings are in town, those arenas sell out

I don't question his passion. I wish all owners had his passion. I think your missing my point though. His free spending is not good for the league. Maybe if the league was a tad smaller, revenues where spread league wide and the talent was equally spread, arenas would be selling out not just when the Wings come to town.

So don't get snippity with the Red Wings, they are one of the few teams keeping the NHL in the spotlight.

hehe it was your boasting of 4 cups that set this off. Your comparing Detroits cups to that of Tampa and Calgary who have been in the league how long? I'm a die hard (and it has been hard) Bruins fan of more than 30 years. Not once did I mention my team in this thread. This is about the 4 teams that are still running for the grand prize. So keep your Detroit grand standing for another day because as of right now, their golfing with all the others...Oh and the NHL is not in the spotlight. Except in Detroit because thats your only sports team I think...

Great game last night. Was a bit worried Tampa left a door open but Habby played tough. Can't wait for game 6 ! Tampa and Calgary in the finals !!!! and no Detroit...:zipit:

Who's being a crybaby. A loser is a loser in the play offs, doesn't matter how far you get. Calgary is gonna beat the Lightning. Western teams are continually better than teams in the east.
