looks like I can't win...Gen X and I have the Bears and he has one more point then I.
What a comeback. What a game. It's always nice to see a team get over the bump. The Colts and Peyton finally slayed their dragon.

Since BJ said we could make changes, as long as it was time-stamped, and as long as our previous round picks allowed for the changes.

Thanks, dopey! GO BEARS!Yay! Middle of the pack!
Geaux... I mean, go Gen X! Hope ya win, buddy!
I think we should consider modifying the rules for next year. Picks should be final...also it can get confusing picking a winner after the first round. This year we got lucky. If no picks are changed before the game, then a Bears win will give it to GenX. A Colts win would cause it to come down to a tiebreaker between Oz and scorp.
Speaking of which....Oz, pick a tiebreak number (you forgetful shaman) or you'll lose automatically in that situation!
The above picks were changed (after the Eagle defeat) to the following:
I'm guessing this is against the rules of switching picks.
Seems like a strange rule. I know I don't exactly understand it. It sounds like he pick Eagles to win but since the Eagles lost he changed his pick to a team that won for himscorp111 picked Chicago and Indy to win this week after picking both teams to win the week prior. The switch is legal under the rules as I wrote them. If he had tried to pick the Saints this week after picking them to lose last week, the switch wouldn't have been allowed.
Hopefully, that clarifies things. Like I said earlier in the thread, if I do this next year, I will likely tweak the rules. Perhaps only allow switches if you still have both teams alive in a game, not just one of the two.
...but it's all for fun.

Exactly. His picks are entirely proper under this year's format.
I'm more than happy to entertain suggestions about how to set up the rules for future contests.
I don't doubt you following the rules...I guess I didn't understand the rules at the time. Knowing the rules now, I would say that needs to be modified. To the sometimes disdain of my wife, I am a rule-follower, not a rulebreaker![]()
Bascially, the way this was set-up is that after each round you can change your picks, but you can Never pick a team that you bet against (meaning they eliminated a previous pick).
Sure I have changed my mind on some teams week by week, and I guessed wrong on Philly-NO, meaning under this contest I either went with the Bears or nobody yesterday. (The Bears narrowly garnered my nomination)
The question for next year is whether we are trying to predict the whole playoffs before they start (very difficult due to seedings determining matchups after the first round), or if each round we want to allow changes.
As I said, as long as I know the rules, I will follow them.

So..um...am I too late?
50 is a good number. :lookaroun
I have no doubt that the Pats will be back and better. They are a classy organization who seem to have it figured out.Yesterday: OUCH!Tough loss, but great season for the Pats since there were a lot of ? marks going into the season. With 2 first round draft picks the future is bright.
