Ok...

AFC EAST: New England Patriots clinched

Other playoff clinchers:

Philadelphia Eagles
Kansas City Chiefs

Congrats to the 3 teams! :sohappy:

Week 14 Honorable Mentions:

1. Clinton Portis...5 Touchdowns in one game :sohappy:
2. Bruce Smith breaking the alltime sack record!
3. Adam Viniatieri...Extra point manages to hit both uprights and fall in  (this is a joke)
4. Adam Viniatieri...Field goal doesn't go through uprights...still gets 3 points (talk about clutch)
5. Doug Flutie...nice game.
6. If I haven't mentioned it yet...Clinton Portis.
7. Tom Brady's "Pooch Punt" that lands on the 1/2 yard line.
8. Warren Sapp's leaping Touchdown Catch
9. Marvin Harrison's great one handed grab for Indy.
10. Did I mention Clinton Portis?

I know that 3 of the 10 here are Pats...but this is the game I watched! Add yours!

Although they have a horrible record, and quite honestly are a horrible team at the moment...

I think Micheal Vice should be on your list of folks. The Falcons won last night over Carolina...and that made me money! If the Jets would have won as well, I'd have made a lot more!

Oh well...

I'm turning my attention now to the NHL pool I'm starting in January...

OMG Definitely!!! One of the highlights of the week...not even his game...just the fact that he returned as a starter!

Week 14 Horrible Mention

-MIAMI DOLPHINS OFFENSIVE LINE!!!!!! :brick:

I have to admit though the whole snow flinging thing looked cool...although the whole sitting on snow thing didn't....

I'm still holding up hope the Fins will make it to the playoffs....but at this point I don't think I'm going to hold my breathe.

:brick:

-Tennessee Titans (they lost a game because of turnovers)

Week 14 Honorable Mention

-Miami Dolphins Defense--held the pats to 3 points

As you can see I'm a little bias....:D

Very good defense!!! On both accounts!

I think it's the first time the Dolphins have been shut out in over 2 years.

How do you stop the opposing team's offense to only 3 points and lose?

Answer: Play the Patriots.

(If you'd go back and look at the previous Pats game...you'll know what I'm talking about...with the following statement)

The Patriots don't have a great offense, defense, or special teams.

They have a great coach.

Houston brings us down to the wire...scoring 20+ points.
Miami brings us down to the wire holding us to 3 offensive points.
Indianapolis was getting blown out...31-10...it came down to a goal line stand.

These are just 3 examples...but all Patriots fans know...that going into any Sunday...you'll have no nails left come Monday.

Alright, I'll just go out on a bit of a limb and predict the whole field 3 weeks out:

AFC East: Pats (clinched)
AFC North: Ravens (they have an easier schedule, and I don't think the Bengals will beat St. Louis)
AFC South: Colts (just need 2 wins--Falcons at home and Texans away should do it)
AFC West: Chiefs (all but clinched)

Wild Cards: Titans (have Buffalo, Houston, and Tampa down the stretch), Broncos (schedule is tough, but they have momentum now--they also win tiebreaker over Fins)

NFC East: Eagles (one of two hottest teams out there right now)
NFC North: Vikings (will back in with a finale against the Cardinals and a solid record within the division)
NFC South: Panthers (easy schedule and too big of a lead to be caught)
NFC West: Rams (Rams are coming together, plus Seahawks suck on the road; 2 out of remaining 3 are away from Seattle)

Wild Cards: Cowboys, Seahawks (barely, but only because I don't think Green Bay will win out)

I agree with an honorable mention to Michael Vick--141 yards rushing and a TD.

And a dishonorable mention to the BCS (Big Crock of S___). I know it's college, but I had to work that one in. How does the #1 team in the nation not play for the national title?

Funny thing is something similar happened when Florida State got to play Oklahoma (coincidence?) in 2001 for the national championship.... I think it was 2001....the University of Miami did not go because of the stupid computers...the next year they won the national championship though....but still they got screwed over that year...I just find it interesting that both recent times the system has failed Oklahoma was in the picture.... :lookaroun

Not that I hate them or anything...:p

Let's not forget Nebraska getting picked to play Miami despite getting blasted by Colorado and not even winnning their own division (much less conference) the following year...
