Stupid comment from SF analyst about Baltimore QB Lamar Jackson. Talking about having advantage running fake hand offs using his dark skin, dark football and dark uniforms. I'm glad the guy was suspended

It's totally being blown out of proportion and observed out of context. He was commenting on how hard it is to see the ball because of the combination of factors... not that "hey look, his success is because he's black and no one can see the ball" - which is what people are blowing it up to be.

Its like you can't even mention someone's skin color now without someone reading into it...

And the San Fran analyst wrote an apology letter for his mistake. Skin color talk in the workplace and someone files a report, you're just asking for a visit to HR whether you like it or not.

Of course he did... he's a regular person who can't afford to never work again.

It's one step away from saying "Hey, did you see that black guy standing in the parking lot?" being about inferring criminal activity instead of describing the person so you know which person you were talking about.

The Browns up until this year...

Incorrect, unfortunately. The Browns had a better record last year too.
Maybe we’ll actually make a smart draft pick too though.. maybe?

There’s always hope, right? I hate to sound negative, but I’m sure they’ll pick wrong.

Can I get the 80s back? ;)

I want to know why Haskins stayed in the game today. The Redskins’ coach needs to be questioned. If anyone sees a story about this, please post it here.

True. But the Browns have been absolutely terrible up until recently. And they have the longest playoff drought in the NFL.

I would almost rather that have happened than this false hope of the past decade or so.
‘We’ (but not me) blamed Marvin Lewis for so many years. Team full of talent, crazy good talent, but unable to get the job done when needed.
If I look at the Browns (pre Mayfield) and the Bengals over the past 10 years, we shouldn’t be in this comparative discussion. The Bengals should have trips to the Super Bowl, they should have been able to win a post season game,. They shouldn’t have embarrassed themselves on Monday night football.
But all of that happened.
So, they blamed the coach.
Now, we still have horrible play calling and can barely win a game even without Marvin. So where does the blame truly lie?- that’s the million dollar question.

I’m reading that Dalton was “in on the plan” to throw games. I don’t believe that for one second. He wouldn’t do that.

I mean, I see where you're coming from, but I think being a Brown's fan is more frustrating. They lose for years and years. Then, Art Model moved the team to Baltimore, and then the Ravens won the Superbowl in 2000 and 2012, in addition to great playoff runs in between, and now they're arguably the best team in the NFL. The Browns, meanwhile, went to the playoffs once, and have had only two winning seasons in the past 20 years. I mean, if I were a Brown's fan, that would be frustrating. The Bengals had winning seasons and have often been a thorn in the side of the Steelers and the Ravens.

To be fair, the AFC North is also an extremely competitive division, and every division game is always hard fought.

Oh, I’m quite sure that it’s frustrating to be a Brown’s fan. Would never dispute that.
What I’m looking at is a team who should have more wins, who has/had the talent to have the wins, but somehow manages to lose over and over, no matter how much talent they have. The division, tough or not, has nothing to do with bad play calling, that’s on the team’s coaches. I don’t know how many people here care about or have watched the Bengals over the past several years, but they’ve definitely earned the ‘Bungles’ title during that time. So much wasted talent.
There is a reason for it, I think that reason starts with a Mike and ends with a Brown..

We can’t blame 2019 on Marvin, so, they need to figure out the reason, and something needs to be done.

I just have a sinking feeling that as long as Mike Brown is in charge, I don’t know if anything can actually be done.

Uhh...yeah? The Browns, Lions and Dolphins come to mind....
1976 Tampa Bay Bucs. Lost all their games but it was their first season.

Guys, it was a rhetorical sarcastic question made in frustration during the last four minutes of Bengals v Browns game today. A game with horrible playcalling over and over again. The Bengals fired their head coach at the end of the last year thinking that he was the problem, all of the blame has been on Marvin Lewis the past few years. Well, Marvin Lewis isn’t here in 2019 and we are losing worse than when he was here, so obviously he wasn’t the problem.
