It is a possibility that Randall Cobb may not return this season, despite most reports saying he will be back by playoff-time.

Did you see this?

I saw this week's C'mon Man and the funny thing is, ESPN showed footage of McCoy wearing Raiders gear coming off the bus to the locker room right after the clip. They said something about double standards. C'mon Man! :banghead: (See 0:48-1:10)

The Seahawk doing the Truffle Shuffle is the real star of that video.

I think I remember hearing that the Falcons are now officially elminated from the playoffs. This has to be the shocker of the season. Looks like it will be a bit of a rebuilding period for the franchise. I think they have the core pieces there to succeed, though.

Some IR news today.

- Cortland Finnegan (Rams) placed on IR.

- Casey Hayward (Packers) placed on IR after dealing with a hamstring injury all season. He's only played in a couple games and led the Packers in INTs as a rookie last season.

The Panthers have been my surprise team this year, for success that is. For failure, that would be the Falcons. I honestly thought the Falcons were atop the NFC with the Packers, Seahawks, and 49ers. Of course now I'd only say the Seahawks are the elite team from that group. The 49ers have been up and down, and I think the Packers would be there sans Aaron Rodgers injury.

Meanwhile, in the AFC, Houston is the biggest disappointment. I mean, when you consider the fact the Patriots and the AFC East were going to have a down year, the AFC North was not going to be highly contested as it was in the past and an Indy team who presumably would suffer games courtesy of the sophomore slump from Luck every once in a while, they could've been the number 2 seed in the AFC right now. But they've gotten nothing from Foster, Schaub has struggled and from a points per game perspective, one of the worst defenses in the league. Surprises, definitely KC. I knew they would improve but not by that much. And maybe even the Jets. Yes, Geno Smith's accuracy is poor and he's turned the ball over a lot but their defense is playing well, they're 5-5, still in the mix of a playoff spot and they've beaten some pretty good teams. (NO and NE.)

It just shocks me how unbalanced the talent is between the NFC and AFC. The AFC just doesn't seem to be up to par with the NFC.

Also, the Cardinals are a potential surprise team. They are 6-4 right now.

I kinda knew Arizona would get better now that they actually have a decent QB since Kurt Warner.

But I mean, what's interesting is that since 1999-2000, only four NFC teams have won the Super Bowl and the Giants are the only ones to win more than once. (Twice for the G-Men while the Packers, Rams, Buccaneers and Saints won only once.) The Super Bowl winners from the AFC since 99-00: Patriots 3 times, Colts once, Steelers twice, Ravens twice. What's also funny is that the NFC had all of the Super Bowl victories in the 90s...until Denver ended the decade with their two titles for the AFC.

I honestly don't see any AFC team winning the Super Bowl. Denver isn't physical enough to play in cold, it's what ended the Packers season in 2011 against the Giants. The Patriots are up and down, same with the Colts and Bengals. There's just no team I see winning. In the NFC I can see the Seahawks, Saints, and Packers (should they make the playoffs with a healthy Aaron Rodgers) being forces to be reckoned with.

Wow Matt Flynn comes in and saves the day for Green Bay. It's like the Packers at the only team he can play good for.
Which team will give him the huge contract this time :p

This is one of the craziest Packer games I can remember. They are down by 16 in the 4th quarter, and in like Flynn! We tie it up to go into OT. Then each team scores a FG, and the game ends in a tie. Crazy day. Plus, the Bears and Lions were both upset. This will make for an interesting NFC North playoff race.

Thursdays Packer Lions game is huge. i hope Rodgers is back, it'll make for a better and more interesting game.

I've heard pessimistic reports about Rodgers for Thursday, but the reporters really don't know anything. I would be willing to bet Flynn is the starter if Rodgers is out.
