According to Wikipedia the NFL stadium seating capacities go like this for top 5:

1) FedEx Field (85,000)
2) MetLife Stadium (82,566)
3) Lambeau Field (80,750)
4) AT&T Stadium (80,000)
5) Arrohead Stadium (76,417)

FedEx used to be over 91k
I thought it used to be over 90,000, so I guess they removed 5,000+ seats. Still enough to be the largest, though! Who knows how many seats the 49ers' new stadium will have, though. It could very well end up being top 3.

Looks like everything will go smoothly with the super bowl weather-wise. Expected to be a high of 48 and lows of 30 which is a total heat wave compared to the current 10 degree days. Plus only 10-15 degree winds which isnt that bad.
Also Super Bowl Boulevard in Manhattan has been a success. Im gonna try to go tomorrow to see for myself. I doubt another super bowl will be played here again anytime soon, but if this one goes well their is a chance.
If you haven't left for the Super Bowl Blvd you might want to give up. You can't move anywhere near the event stuff.

Thanks for the heads up but I left at 10 and it worked great, besides the fact everything is extremely overpriced and how it got so crowded later in the day. About the overpriced stuff, they were charging 40 bucks for a Super Bowl hat and 155 for a jersey. Plus with the high NY taxes that's quite a bit. Over 200 for a hat and jersey is crazy

But I did get cam newtons autograph which was pretty cool. Nice guy too, at least he seems like it.

That is expensive stuff. NFL Shop has the Nike game jerseys with the Super Bowl patches for 119.95 (Not including shipping.). 40 bucks for a hat? Most of the fitted hats I've bought didn't cost that much! (The universal price for New Era fitted caps are 34.99 without shipping.)

Yeah I couldn't get near Cam unfortunately, but we saw Barry Sanders at the Pepsi Tent in Bryant Park which was great.

What good is an NFL Honors show if it's not live, and the awards are spoiled before hand? If you don't want to know who gets what, stay off social media or sports websites. Facebook just spoiled the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

How much is the tax? I thought the game was in NJ....why would you have to pay NY tax in NJ?

I think the cheapest fitted caps were about $28 at the NFL store they had in Macys. They were rather plain. I think my friend dropped $35 for his.

Well, for the New Era caps personally, I think less is more. I have a few New Era caps myself and I pretty much wear where the players wear with the right colors, right looks and right logos. So in other words, if I want wear a Yankees cap for instance, it's got to be that midnight blue color with the white interlocking NY logo and nothing else. I've seen all the different designs and looks on the New Era site and I stick out my tongue in disgust sometimes. Too much clutter on a cap is a pet peeve of mine. Never got into snapbacks for some reason. They made a comeback not too long ago.

I thought NYC sales tax was like 9%? Heck ...I pay 10% where I live.

Here's a breakdown of NY State Taxes:
http://www.nyc.gov/html/dof/html/business/nys_sales_tax.shtml

Kinda interesting. Florida's state sales tax is 6% though some parts charge more. In Disney World, according to Mousesavers:

Most of Walt Disney World is in Orange County, where the sales tax rate is 6.5% and the hotel tax rate works out to 12.5% (6.5% sales tax + 6% resort tax).

Disney’s All Star Resorts are in Osceola County, where the sales tax rate is 7% and the resort tax is 6%, so the hotel tax rate at those three hotels is 13%.

Pretty common throughout the country to have a state sales tax.. and if you have a special city/town tax that is a rider on top of that is not uncommon. Non-sales tax (like hotel taxes, special surcharges, etc) tend to be much more localized -- County or even special tax districts.

The disney world variance is because a pocket of the property is in a different county than the rest.

Sorry, I just can't see paying that kind of money for something that will be outdated shortly and that ugly when it's brand new.

But as a souvenir... I guess that's OK if you just plan on hanging it on the wall.

How many people do you see wearing a Superb Owl ball cap from two years ago?
