Well, the Bengals played pretty good on offense but if their defense doesn't step it up, they could be looking at a lot of 35-28 type games where they will finish on the upside only so often. I thought Carson Palmer looked super. Very poised and incredible arm strength. Not only if we could stop the run, put a rush on the QB, and force a turnover or two. . .

Maybe we can take advantage of the Dolphins hard times.

Go Bengals - Go Vikes.

Bengals 16, Dolphins 13. Too early to call it a must win, but in my book, with Miami's offensive problems, it was a must win. Cincy did what it had to do to win the game, but even with Miami's offensive problems, that is still a defense with 7 pro-bowlers.

A win is a win. All tied up in the division with Baltimore coming in next week.

Now can Moss and the Vikes take a bite out of Philly????

Fantasywise I'm done either way. I've got WR Robinson for Vikes and McNabb, but I'm playing Culpepper and I'm down by 12.

Why is it that the Patriots play only as well as their opponents?

Week #1: Indianapolis @ New England. 3 point difference which came down to a missed field goal.

Week #2: New England @ Arizona. Great defense to match theirs. Horrible offense to match theirs.

*shakes head* I just don't get it. The Patriots should've blown Arizona out of the water this week.

They're the Ohio State of the NFL

But both of those teams find a way to win and that's all that matters. I wouldn't worry about it. It could be worse. You could be a Bills fan and you could play bad no matter who you play. Do we have any offensive linemen here on the message boards? We could use you

It's like I say, you only have to win by 1 point in order to win. As long as they keep winning, I'm okay with it, though I would like to see them perform better for their wins.

My Hawks go to 2-0!!!!!

...no thanks to shabby performances from Hasselbeck and Alexander, who lost me my Fantasy Football matchup this week... :fork:

And San Diego really needs to lose Drew Brees. He just sucks. When they brought Flutie in for the last few minutes of the game, he was well on his way too matching Brees' stats for the entire game - minus the interceptions!!! Flutie may be old, but he still gets the job done much better than Brees.

Doug Flutie is one of those guys that could come to Boston or New England and throw 15 interceptions in one game...and the fans would still love him. He is just a nice guy and he was the source of inspiration for Patriots fans. (Plus...that hail mary pass will never be forgotten :) )

I have met him several times and there really isn't a nicer guy out there. (Adam Viniatieri and Willie McGinest are up there too!)

I dunno... Mike Holmgren goes to the church I grew up in, and it's hard to imagine someone nicer than he is. :)

Kitna in Cincinnati is really a super guy. Very involved in charitable events and supportive of the city. Anthony Munoz is the same way.

As for the games this weekend. A lot of big point spreads. Cincy is a 3 point underdog to Baltimore. Hoperfully we are catching them at the right time with injuries and all. We'll see.

Feel like the Vikes gave away that game in Philly. The fumble at the inch line and the phantom hold call on another TD took 11 points off the board. Could be a preview of the NFC Title Game.

I was a huge Kitna fan when he played for Seattle. I still have a Kitna Seahawks jersey, actually.

If your talking about the Culpepper td play. By no means do I want to start an arguement with you, but did you see the angle in which the camera was pointing toward the end zone from behind, where you could see the whole line of scrimage ? That angle showed the holding good. He had a fistful of jersey. I wasnt so sure at first, but after that angle, it was a definite hold. And just to show i'm not being biased....T.O got away with one.

Well New England's next game is against who... Buffalo? I don't want to sound overconfident, but it's not like they're playing the cream of the NFL crop next weekend. There's a good chance of a 3-0 Pats after week 4 is all done.

TO be honest, I did not see the replay from the other angle. Either way, those teams may meet again.

My wife suprised me with Bengals tics yesterday. Great day for a game, mid-seventies and sunny. Now, if you would have told me before the game that the Bengals would lead in time of possesion by over 7 minutes, have over 100 yards rushing, and nearly 400 yards of offense I would have said the Bengals would win going away. Now, to be P.C., my daughters soccer team could have done a better job tackling that the Bengals did Sunday. Horrible. Each long run, Lewis was hit behind the line of scrimmage. The guy is a pro-bowler (who may end up in jail like Ray should have) but the Bengals made him look like a Hall of Famer.

Now on to Pittsburgh. A win there would put them back in the middle of the pack.
