NTSB just located the Flight Data Recorder.... 1:28pm ET. Wow that was fast...now time to take it back to DC and analyze it.

They actually knew they'd recover the recorder pretty fast....the crash site isnt "Large" (compaired to most others)...and the plane parts were pretty much "in tact" (meaning they werent totally inhilated after the crash)....Im curious to see what they learn from this..

Yeah, me to.

I am not an avionics expert, my guess is catastrophic engine failure, of what type (explosion, loose mountings on the wing/fuselage) I am not sure, but the pilot could not pull out of it. They are trained for such events and he was at 3000 ft, 5 miles off the runway..either way, bad time for an engine to go...if that was it.
