new Universal resorts named and up dates

The interiors look fine, but the outsides have become a running joke amongst friends. Even with the completed endcaps they look very dreary.
I've thought that since the concept art. Probably a big reason Loews name isn't on them. They could almost call them Universal's RetroSoviet Resort, or Amazon Fulfillment Warehouse resort. Still better than All Stars ;-)

LOL, it does look very Eastern Bloc.

At least you can point to the buildings and say, "Look kids want to be socialist? That's what your home will look like without the fancy paint."
I've made a ressie for HHN then dropped it, guess I'm spoiled with the onsite resorts. CBBR volcano view for me.

Not looking bad for $85 a night. Wonder what the bus situation will be like?

Let's qualify that as starting at 85 a night (for stays of 7 days, shorter stays are more and also seasonally adjusted) the suites are 125 with the same caveats. All that aside , the prices are great and the rooms very nice.

700 rooms that won't have mouse competition on price.

Actually I think Universals thought was to wipe every hotel in the area. At this price point why fool around with an unknown? Universal's name is going with this hotel so out of towner's on a budget will stay here as opposed to other local hotels.

It worked on me. I'm already planning less days at Disney and more days at Endless Summer.
