Awesome! I love Samantha Brown, I think she has the best job in the world and makes it look like so much fun! I can't wait to see what they put together. I can only handle the vacation planning DVD's for so long, it's nice to have Travel Channel to change things up a bit! :)

Too bad Travel Channel isn't in HD yet.

Discovery HD Theater just had two Disney World specials on this past week and everything looked amazing.

I hope these new specials will make their way over to Discovery HD Theater as well sooner or later because these WDW specials in SD just won't cut it anymore...

There was a thread a couple of weeks ago that mentioned new Disney Travel Channel specials were coming up. Here's the schedule:

Samantha Brown’s Disney Favorites 4/11 at 9PM
Samantha Brown, who appeared on the WDW Radio Show #53 (Feb. 10) is traveling the East coast to West coast to show her favorite Disney attractions, rides, restaurants, and characters at both Disney World in Orlando, Florida and Disneyland in Anaheim, California. In the parks she soars above the clouds on the rides, encounters wild animals on a safari, dines at the chef’s table, steps inside the dream princess suite, and watches a unique acrobatic performance.

Glad to hear that there's a new Samantha Brown special coming up. However, :brick::brick::brick:to the fact that she's wasting valuable air time with coverage of DL as well. I really wish they'd give DL it's own specials instead of hijacking time that could be used for covering WDW. Hopefully, they'll make up for this by making this a two hour special.

Great timing on this one, though! We get up not so bright but early the following morning (like 4:30 AM) to begin the long road trip to WDW. So we could hop in bed Friday night, turn out the lights, turn on the Travel Channel and let that be the last thing we see on TV before our big trip on Saturday morning! :sohappy:

She'd be far less annoying that Stacey (isn't that her name?).

I love Stacey! She's totally hot, and I love the way she does the WDW Top 7.

Speaking of that, does anyone know if the TVs in the hotel rooms have audio/video jacks in the back? If so, would it be possible to hook my camcorder up to the TV with the audio/video plugs and record the Top 7 directly off TV instead of sitting in front of the TV for half an hour holding my camcorder and taping it that way?

Yes, but it's "Disney Parks" now, not just DL and WDW. I'm sure TWDC wants both American parks featured instead of separating them.

No kidding. You'd really think the Travel Channel would lend itself well to HD, but still nothing. I really hope they go HD soon. Well, I also hope that the WDW specials have all been shot in HD, otherwise there's no point in the channel going HD.

I think these 4 new shows will put my DVR full of Disney to 70%! But that's what its for!!!

I am super excited about the Samantha Brown disney favorites! She is my favorite TC host--LOVE all her shows!!!

Time for a DVD recorder -- down to $100 bucks or so for a cheap one!

Darned good question. I seem to recall noticing A/V in jacks, allowing me to hook up my son's travelling DVD player to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse while eating breakfast (he just likes it that way), but I didn't check for A/V out...seems like a coax splitter with a coax to a/v converter would accomplish the trick if need be, though.

I'm glad someone remembered seeing the A/V jacks b/c when my boyfriend and I go down we are bringing a portable DVD player to hook up so we can watch Disney DVD's at night.
