Disney on a dime?!?!? Im in!!

I wonder how helpful this will be to those of us who frequent these forums? I think we're probably pretty savvy when it comes to being frugal at WDW...plus I don't think Disney wants the general public aware of all the little "tricks" (like I would bet that the fact that you can order a bun isn't in this special...we save so much money splitting double cheeseburgers!). They just want to give the impression that WDW is affordable to all (which is a good point, nonetheless!!!).

I set my TIVO last year to automatically record anything with the word magic kingdom, EP, AK, or MGM ( I'll have to check and make sure it has these shows set to tape). Thanks for the info.

yeah!!!! we love the Disney shows on the travel channel. At our house we all curl and watch them. I totally agree that putting them on dvd would be really cool. Food Network does a special at Christmas time about all the holiday food especially the gingerbread house at Grand Floridian. My sister normally calls me and we watch them and talk on the phone. We take our families together so we watch the shows and say" hey I saw that":ROFLOL:

On 4/18 at 9 PM my DVR is showing Disney Splurge, a show that sounds like the polar opposite of Disney on a Dime.

I love the TC Disney special's. I was surfing the channel's last night and happened upon the History channel. They had a 2 hour program about the building of Disneyland and WDW. Although I thought I had see all the shows about building and read all the books, I don't remember ever seeing this one. It was really interesting. Am looking forward to the next one on the TC Friday night.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but my sister and I thought the Disney Splurge special was kind of boring .

I thought Samantha Brown was in all of them...kind of disappointing. Still, overall, this one was kind of a dud, IMO.

I thought it was okay. I do agree that it was not as exciting as the other ones that I have seen. The Adventures by disney segment was kind of interesting. I have to ask, was anyone else thinking that they could be a personal tour guide for a lot less than $100.00 an hour?:)

I completely agree. I wasn't really impressed with this episode and found it to be slightly boring (mostly because I knew that most of these splurges existed anyway). I was disappointed Samantha Brown wasn't in this one either, but oh well, there's always next week!:)
