New Tomorrowland @ Disneyland? Is this the year it finally gets announced? No, and that’s OK

Whatever they do, it should optimistic view of the future and not some dystopian zombie wasteland or dirty Star Wars look. It should be more Star Trek then Star Wars.

I really wish Avatar hadn't been announced for DCA where it doesn't fit great and instead they could've taken out autopia and Nemo and used all that space for the new avatar ride, maybe even an updated FOP plus a longer Tron coaster themed with the red design from Tron Ares. This would've helped modernise the area and keep it from easily becoming dated. Plus 2/3 new e ticket attractions that would really help spread the crowds.

The problem is DCA needs Disney-quality rides. Badly. Right now, they have RSR as a full Disney quality E-ticket and Monsters Inc as a C-level darkride. DCA doesn't fit Avatar at all and normally I would be against it, but man....DCA needs this. And DCA also needs to move away from California as a theme. Not because it can't work or be amazing, as I think "California" as a theme works brilliantly, but the powers that be simply don't seem all to invested in making that theme work, so we might as well start moving on from it sooner rather than later. Avatar is that ripping of the band-aid in the creation of a new DCA.

I feel DCA needed Galaxy's Edge. Disneyland was not in need of an expansion, but it's just one more reason why that park is better than DCA.

You are right that DCA has the bigger need. Hopefully they can find another quality attraction to go in Tomorrowland that is relatively future proof like Avatar would be.

I wish DCA had gotten SW, and Disneyland had used that land for a modern Fantasyland with Moana, Tangled, Aladin, Encanto, Frozen etc, but I digress.
The good thing is I bet disneyland uses the expansion area for something like you are looking for. My dream is an Arrendale land using the Tokyo Anna and Elsa ride to go along with the big mountain with the ice castle, except the mountain is a version of expedition everest that replaces the Yeti storyline with the snow monster from frozen 1. Theme will flow together and EE is such a fun coaster that it should be at more than 1 park. Add that to tangled, I heard they designed a Moana hybrid log flume coaster type ride. That's a good start to that area.

Agree.
Definately more ‘Star Trek’.

Tomorrowland will never be completed until I can buy a Romulan Ale at the churro cart under the PeopleMover tracks.

I know you kid but gosh darnit, I love star trek and would love some star trek experiences in a theme park. If disney owned ST and went all out with a ST theme for TL Id be for it.

And while we’re at it, can they get the license and retheme Star Tours? Just replace Threepio with a Ferengi and we’re all good.

Please god no, I rather not relive the Paramount Parks days again.

Fortunately they don't. We don't need Disney ruining ST like they did with Star Wars.
Paramount went down that track but got smarter with later seasons of Picard and Discovery. Strange New Worlds is pretty good.

I would be cool to see a new version of the Star Trek Experience. They had a Star Tours ride. Maybe something like this but brighter and cleaner.

Some say that Paramount has done a good job at destroying Trek themselves.

Not sure exactly what I’m looking at but at first glance it looks cooler than anything at that was at the now shuttered Star Wars hotel.

It was part of the Star Trek experience in Las Vegas, pictured was Quarks bar.

Was this the one at the The Hilton? I should have checked it out when I had the chance. The early - mid 2000’s was my heyday in Vegas but I guess I had different priorities at that age haha.
