I think it's more of a you-can't-sue-us measure by the manufacturers, like the big sign on the stroller that says not to hang things from the handlebars. The only time a stroller has almost tipped on me was when someone at a zoo didn't realize there was a curb and fell into the stroller. Accidents happen.
But really, even swings and little bouncy chairs have 5-point belts. Heck even my daughter's high chair did when she was a baby.

Geez, I have no idea how some of us survived the 50's without 5-point-harnesses, combat strollers, on-demand ice and living with parents who smoked like chimneys...

That quite possibly could be the dumbest comment I have read on these boards...Ban strollers at Disney World...Whats next, ban children? Disney World is geared to families and their CHILDREN. I am sorry strollers are such an eyesore for you. Go to Universal then...
You didn't have lawyers and class action lawsuits to tell you how dangerous it was.

Me too! I’ve never seen those rolling storage units in the parks, but the gigantic double strollers are crazy! If the single bob stroller is 24” wide, wouldn’t the double check exceed the limits?

Late to the party but ......Mt. Dew is a Pepsi productIf your kids are getting tired, just pump some sugary snacks into them! They'll go the distance then! You can always add c some caffeinated snacks like a Mtn Dew to the mix.<ducks before the parental pitchforks hit me!>

The answer is, of course: a statistically significant number did not survive. That's why we have more safety measures in place today.

I agree we rode our bikes without helmets (all survived), The big cars of the 50's had the big back self my brother and I would fight over who got to lay back there (we survived), play dates --we went out and played with our friends (all day long) Mom would put us out in the morning call us for lunch back out call us for dinner, seat belts were unknown, Oh well times have changed
No --we have more lawsuits and cover your a$$ mentality today

YOU survived, but not everyone did. My dad's aunt was killed in a car accident in the early 50's. It was a minor accident. She was a child and was sitting in the back seat of the car. The door flew open during the crash and she was thrown from the car and hit by another car. She died at the scene. A seat belt would have saved her life (the other people in the car had minor injuries). When I was a child my cousin's best friend was hit by a car while riding his bike (no helmet). He had serious head injuries, a broken arm, and some cuts/abrasions. He died a few days later from the head injuries.
WE were lucky and survived our childhoods without seat belts and helmets, but some people didn't. More people survive now because of these things.

slightly off topic, but I must say this.
In planning a trip to WDW, I have been overwhelmed, and getting doubts if I should even go, and I must thank you for making me laugh.
In the middle of all those posts of "You must plan this, you must do this" "Forget it, you're going to die out there."

The double BOB is 30.5" wide, 50.5" long, a half inch under the ban limits. And those strollers make the Keenz look tiny.
Or you know, stop dictating what others should do with their money. I took mine to Disney for my memories too, not just theirs. They still had a blast even if they won't remember it, I will.

These types of "strollers" should just be added to the banned list.
Does anyone know if these "strollers" undergo any safety tests? If not then they shouldn't be allowed to carry children let alone in the parks. Seems rather quick to get a new version safety tested.....

Even if the kids don't remember having a great time, the photos and videos will still show how happy they were on that Disney vacation. My daughter does not remember her first Disney trip, but I do, and it's great to look back at photos of me and her playing in the large fountain that used to be at DS. If we waited a few years, the fountain would have been gone.
