New store coming to DTD Marketplace

When I was in Disney in early November, I made the walk down to the West Side (for the first time in years.....), and in the Magnitron store, they had a very large selection of left handed goodies. The whole display window out front showcased this, and then there were many items inside. I took a few pictures because I'm left handed and thought it was hysterical. Maybe they're giving this small selection its own store. I'll try to upload the pics later.

oh...the possibilities are endless:

left handed ice cream cones
left handed combs
left handed shoe laces
left handed screwdrivers
left handed eyeglasses
left handed mugs
left handed pots and pans
left handed pencils
left handed money

The great thing about this is that right handers can use these too by simply picking them up with their right hand!

This is just a gold mine waiting to be harvested. :sohappy::sohappy:

Yes, it involves holding one finger straight up and clinching the others in a ball, if you catch my drift.

I'm a lefty and have also adapted to a righty world. Only part that sucks is right handed desks in elementary and middle school, etc. Doubt they'll sell lefty desks.

Can you imagine trying to get it through the metal detectors at school everyday? Not to mention the size of the book bag it would require!

Obviously this is the first step towards selling left handed DVC's.

I am a left handed person and I have mentioned that things in lfie randomly can get a left handed person to have a difficult times with things in schools and such. For example the 'one armed bandits' School chairs with the arm attatched as part of the structure. Those make writing easy for a right handed person and sitting sometimes awkward for a left handed one.

But an entire store devoted to it? I laughed and anything that makes tons of money at Disney like T-shirts and dodad knick knacks are not hand select there for creating a store that eliminates 60 percent of the market is going to get more customers who are right handed thinking it is cute to by their one friend or family member who is left handed someting from there instead of a left handed person often going into a store like that getting something for themselves.

I mean even current Disney could come up with a store a bit more creative than this...right? err left?

At LSU, around 50% are lefty desks...I hated sitting in them, especially on exam days.

As a lefty myself I can say that this doesn't interest me in the slightest. I’m so use to using right handed items that it doesn’t affect me anymore. But I guess it could be worse, this is just an expansion of a store that has always been there rather than a brand new store. I can’t blame current stores trying anything they can to get guests to come in and spend money because with PI gone, they need it.
