I hope it was not perceived earlier I was mocking the concept of specialty items for lefties as I wasn't. I just thought the thread was someones idea of a joke. And I still do but who knows.

By the way, it is my experience that left handed people are almost always smarter that right handed people. Just sayin'.

I think this might not be happening in DTD, but a lot of you seem surprised a store like this exists? Im from MA and there is multiple of these stores. Not the first time I've heard of it. I do think it would be bizarre in DTD and can't see it happening , but stores like these do exist.

I was in a Lefty store on Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco last month and I have to say it really wasn't all that cool. Is Disney just picking ideas out of hat now? DTD is a sad place to go now, well at least PI and Westside.

I think at this point Disney is willing to put in anything as long as they pay rent and take up some space.

OK kiddies. I sent out a few email and it appears that this add may indeed be legit. This is the response I got from RU-left handed in the UK.

We are aware of a left handed store opening at one of the Disney locations in the USA - though this is not a business that we are associated with.

I'd suggest that this may be a real job opportunity

Wait...you mean Disney is more concerned with money than what the guests want? No? LOL

Yeah, I think the Titanic exhibit is going to replace the Princess Di exhibit.

I enjoyed the Titanic exhibit I was at on Intl but I don't feel it has a place at Disney. Diana and Titanic were tragedy's and I don't wanna see that at the Happiest Place on Earth. I know as CMs we are not allowed to wear the cancer bracelets because of reminding guests of personal sadness but for people like my bf who were involved in a serious and fatal car accident, he doesn't like walking past the Diana exhibit being reminded of that day. If you think about it, it's the same thing. Let's celebrate Walt because I can't stand to hear another kid ask "who is that guy"? It's so sad, let's put Walt back in Walt Disney World please.

I got another response and this one, from Lefty's in San Francisco, indicates that they were the one that placed the add and it is indeed legit.

yes, it was a legit job offering--- the positions have been filled-- thanks, margaret for LEFTYS

Being a sinister person myself it looks like I will finally have a place to buy a few left handed versions of things who's right handed counter parts make me nuts.

This is insanity. Well done, TDO...This is bold...and wacky.
I have to wonder if this is a case of DTD being desperate. Only 10% of the population is left handed and many of them have simply adapted to a right handed world. Because of such a small client base this store can not exactly be raking in the cash. I wonder if they saw a great opportunity to open up an east coast store in an incredibly good location for a fire sale price.
