A new Star Wars fireworks show was just announced for Studios. Includes projections that turns the Chinese theater and other buildings into multiple Star Wars scenes. Sounds very cool to me.

Looking at the concept art, seems we now understand why the Fireworks launch area will no longer have the fireworks right behind the Chinese theatre and will now be off to the side

Yep all makes sense now.

First thought is that it looks lob-sided. But even so, great to see a new show, and something that will be very welcome. Can't wait to see it.

Yeah that drastic cut of Epcot hours to 9 - 7 for Future World and 11 - 9 for World Showcase... or a return to the hours that Epcot has had for years and years and years.

Absolutely to cover the cuts. I think there was another poster who mentioned that they basically have a whole list of project announcements that they hold until they are necessary, which makes complete sense. Why release information if you don't have to? The goal is to release information like this to shift the focus off of the negative online chatter.

Massive cuts to our operation? Hey......Look! Over there! Star Wars!

Yet it seems to work for many in fanboi circles. It's like distracting a toddler with candy.

I think an October trip instead of May is looking more likely (new SW fireworks, new Soarin', Rivers of Light, Nighttime Safari, Frozen Ride, F&W Festival, MNSSHP).
