New SSE permits

I have to say i use to enjoy coming here every morning and reading the forums. However the last two weeks I have opened them just a handful of times. And really not enjoyed them at all. They have become so negative that I don’t enjoy reading them anymore. What happened to the positive criticism? Sure there are things we don’t like and things we do like but lately it is just gone to far. At this rate I will just stop coming to this site.

merf thanks for the permits. Maybe they are thinking of doing something like with universals ET where you give information about who you are up front and intergrate it into the end segement.

It's good that we always have that choice!

So is SE now closed? I thought it was suppose to be closed the 9th through the 15th. Was just wondering if it officially closed today.

Please don't renew your AP... In fact, I'll send the money for you to get a Busch Gardens and Universal AP. Maybe you'll go infest their forums.

Wow...that's harsh

While some people may not agree with some of Merf's issues, he brings quite a lot of information to these forums.

If everyone here had the exact same views of everything it would be pretty boring around here.

They are up around the elevator column on the side facing the entrance of the attraction. Basically they have 1-2 CMs posted in front of the entrance, with two SSE refurbishments signs also blocking the walkway.

Yea, we honestly felt like the Spartans defending the hot gates.

So, presumably the column is getting it's signs back?

And kiosk is for the high-schoolers that'll never be updated by siemens thing?

I felt pretty sorry for you guys yesterday because you seemed to be getting alot of heat from the guests. Though, I found it interesting that management had the CMs in Project Tomorrow stand right in front of the crack in the wall where you can get a look at the new kiosks.

Imagination was basically the same way yesterday too. People just couldn't understand that the attraction was closed...

Well having those schedules all overlap was the epitome of boneheaded scheduling. One's less then a week long. why not space them out?

The column wall is presumably for the stealth transport of materials to the top of the ride to begin installation inside of the descent. They don't want people seeing what they are sending up and down that elevator shaft... As for the kiosks, that is for something else completely different, but probably my favorite aspect of the entire Project Tomorrow setup.

And hold up - and people gave a crap that imagination was closed?

Yes, surprisingly enough.

Hehe, something got in the way of the tumbleweeds.

That's the name I made up for that certain brand of tourist who finds their way into places like broom closets and other such places places (like the non-walkway from Energy to SSE "past" the Wand) and should something get in that tumbleweed's way they become hellfire.

They just combust - explode - and complain bitterly at anyone (likely a nearby CM - who else would be there?)

It's really quite funny.

LOL... I guess you could blame me for that then.

I heard that one of the screens in Project Tomorrow was displaying images of riders' cropped-out heads on the characters from the descent video.

Its possible... The screens around the ceiling were displaying the images, but currently they are at a default testing phase. Once the ride reopens, that part of the equation will be in working order.
