Construction is really moving along. Track is already placed inside the new structure.

Kind of crazy that there's still three years left before opening.

To me it kinda looks like it could be a launch coaster? The top part of what looks like a lift hill to me doesn’t have any "lift hill mechanical stuff" (I don’t know how to call it haha) so it might be an inclined launch. Is something like that already confirmed?

Lift hills can be tyre driven or LSM without a “launch” but I’d be surprised if it was chain driven.

Fun vantage for just how much further back the new space mountain show building is going.

I don't know anything about construction timelines (or maybe I've just been abused by domestic Disney for too long) - but this seems to be coming together rather quickly for something that is still over 2+ years away.

Will it really take that long at this pace? Or is that because it includes the re-do of the Tomorrowland in front of it?

I expect an early 2027 opening, usually they want to open things in the spring. So that is a bit more than 2 years, include extensive testing and a soft opening period and you really don't have that much time. The 2027 date includes the re-do of the area where the old showbuilding was + the area in front.

Makes sense. I was just secretly hoping a 2026 opening might be in the cards.
