New Soarin Ride?

first of all, for any of you who are thinking "this kid is full of crap", why would I waste my precious time spreading Disney lies. Thats so ridiculous.
not lies, rumors and because schools out and your bored of the pool.

I really don't bug him about it. I was kind of kidding. And when he was telling me about a new soarin, it was him and his wife who were telling me about it.
That doesnt make it credible.

Hey, Im not trying to come down on you. This site is here to talk about the company, property and rumors such as this one. I was just commenting on the fact that this clone of Soarin, in AK, called Soarin over Africa (or whatever the cleaver title would be) that you said in your original post, doent make sense. now, a 360 theater would actually be nice, but that isnt what you said.

A combination of Soarin with scenes of Africa would be a great combination. As much as the 360 theaters cool, I my self get motion sickness and would rather see another Soarin type ride. I like alot of other guests go back to see soarin as much as possible, so to have another one would not be the end of the world. Just picture Your favorite ride in Disney, and imagine they put in a second one in another park, would'nt You be happy about having two chances to ride Your favorite ride? Just wondering.

Why soar over Africa when I can just take a 2 week safari at Harambe Wildlife Reserve on Simba 1?

Woot ! Lets build some giant warehouses and reck the scenery of the park just like Epcot ! Hurray ! :brick:

They may be able to sink it into the groud at AK. Something about the ground being to wet to to it at EPCOT.

I hope Disney wouldn't be foolish enough to (essentially) clone a ride between parks. Body Wars and Star Tours were the same ride with different film. Look at them both now! I'd rather see something completely new.

There was always a 60 minute wait for dumbo, and they cloned it in the same park!

the water table down here is way to high to do that. Thats why theres so many sink holes.

and they cloned dumbo twice in magic kingdom! and once in Animal kingdom!

I think they are just looking for cheap ways too keep people in animal kingdom for more than half the day.

If they do it, it will very likely to be Soarin', Version 2.0, with added features and do dads. The do dads will be of the latest technology.

Maybe it will be the Africa of 10,000+ years ago. Maybe you will soar over dinosaurs.

Maybe a combination of Africa and Asia.

Maybe a wider screen.

There are so many things they can do with this concept.

Great idea. It will be a significant addition to Animal Kingdom.

Ah, quite possibly. I guess it's just me, but I like Soarin' just the way it is. I know there are complaints in regards to the fact that it's California, but I always think of it as having been brought to us from California, and therefore it is a tribute to the original ride, as well as the original Disney park

Either that, or I just like California

As for the rumor, it would be kinda cool to have a Soarin' over Africa, lots of possibilities for great scenes in that one!

I like the idea and I see nothing wrong with reusing the ride technology with a different theme. It's done all the time.

There's plenty of difference in Canada's CircleVision film and China's CircleVision film to differentiate them into two separate attractions without people confusing the two.

Do people find similarities in It's a Small World and Pirates of the Caribbean? They are both indoor boat rides powered by water current.

Do people find similarities in The Haunted Mansion and Spaceship Earth ? They are both Omnimover attractions.

Gotcha LOL.I always thought that it was a little strange to ONLY have CA in the show now that HCOE is over but I've always wanted them to do a "Soarin' over the World" theme to go better with EPCOT.

Besides the FW/WS crossover thing would be cool.;)

My thoughts exactly,

my only concern is that wdi would have to add some more suprises. one of the big draws about soarin is its uniqueness. so if the average guess goes to epcot on soarin, then hops to animal kingdom, and sees a ride with the same effects, it would come off as being cheap.

Or if they make the animal kingdom one better, the one at epcot might look cheap.

your thoughts?

A "world" theme would be neat. The show would have to be a couple of hours long though

I think of it as each country already has their representation in WS, so it still makes sense to me to keep the theme intact in Soarin', although, the crossover idea is pretty nifty too :animwink:

Maybe not *additional* surprises, but *different* surprises. That way they are both equal, but unique.

Wonder if WDI can simulate the smell of lions breath
