I never heard of disney re-making snow white in live action.. has anyone here? does anyone have more info? ..on a side note- personally I think It wouldve been interesting if they made it in cg rather than live action. but thats just cuz I'm weird like that

Yeah, that's the only one I've heard about, and I'm actually quite excited about it as I'm a huge fan of both Disney and Tim Burton.

Snow White Remake?

I haven't heard about a Snow White remake, I checked on imdb and there was no info. I do know that Sydney White with Amanda Bynes was supposed to be a modern day remake.

Maybe I'm alone in this but I don't always mind remakes. I always figure it brings the original to a new audience.

One that comes to mind, that I just loved was the Incredible Journey remade by Disney into Homeward Bound. I adored the Incredible Journey, I cried all the way through it! And I adore Homeward Bound!

Is it really any different from them making 101 Dalamations into a live action film?

Oh brother....I wrote a small piece about how Disney doesn't own the sole intellectual rights to Snow White since the link above didn't work and the original post didn't exactly finger Disney as being the one going after this film....then I found the article. Haha....oh brother, I'll be skipping this one.

Walt Disney has tapped a director for their live action modern take on SNOW WHITE & THE SEVEN DWARFS. Director Francis Lawrence (Constantine, I Am Legend) has been selected to helm the modern take of the classic animated movie. The current "working" title for the film is Snow and the Seven though that will most likely change.

Plot Summary: It centers on a 19 century british girl who is raised in Hong Kong. Once she finds out she is destined to defeat something sinister, she is trained by seven Shaolin monks to do battle against the force of evil.

Francis Lawrence is currently working on the post production of I Am Legend which hits theaters December 16, 2007.

Tim Burton with Alice in Wonderland- love it! i think he is such an amazing director. i can't wait to see how interprets the story
