New shots over the walls (August 19th)

Maybe the M&G area will be on the land now taken by SWSA.

Maybe the fact that the ride has seen no exterior refurbs, differently from pretty much all other FL rides, is a good indication that it will close.

Good point. All of the other Fantasyland rides (besides the carroussel) have had or are going to have refurbs (typically exterior) except SWSA.

I don't remember where I heard it, but there was a rumor saying that the next refurbishments were to take place at both Mickey's Philarmagic and SWSA (Snow White)...

Remember when they said they were only refurbing 20K too? Where did that go?? LOL...

I'm only going with what Raven said.. the M&G area would be controversial... The replacement for the area would be controversial... Now, whether that means SWSA is getting shut down and the Princesses getting a M&G there for the time being until a new ride replaces SWSA is beyond me...

Again, let raven clarify what he exactly meant...

Well, now I'm a bit concerned... :)
But, just to say, why would they take away a classic dark ride that almost all the MK have....
They could just refurbish it so that it may look like the DL one (with those great effects), while maintaining the real storyline (the one in DL is all mixed up).

I re-posted that information from a conversation I had with a Fantasyland ops CM. He said that Snow White's refurbishment was after the Mad Tea Party's, though maybe this will be a refurbishment to gut the showbuilding and make room for a temporary meet and greet.

The Mickey's PhillarMagic refurbishment was regarded as "much needed" by the CM I spoke to, but nothing official seems to have been announced (either in the cast world or otherwise) about it. Exprcoofto posted on Twitter that the carpet was indeed very worn.

The carpet (and a good number of the seats) in there is indeed in miserable shape.....

To be quite frank, I wouldn't miss SWSA.

They need to replace that carpet!

Thanks, I would think they would wait till a slow period on Philharmagic since it is such a people-eater.

I wouldn't miss SWSA either... Just as long as it doesn't become the new PRINCESS CHATEAU...
I'm operating under the assumption that SW would become a sort of Fantasyland Character Festival, and would not be temporary.

And here we go with the stupidity of the expansion plans.. anyone have any doubt in their mind Disney or TDO wouldn't screw this up somehow???

Eh...I wouldn't say they've screwed anything up.
New d-ticket
New dining
Double Dumbo
New mystery ride with broad appeal
Newer M&Gs
Improved theming

And only possibly losing an aging c-ticket.

I'll take that.

Here is the rough map I've been using to keep up with what I hear, updating and changing as needed.
This is what I know/highly suspect as of right now.
(Some scale may be a bit off...)

Seeing this now makes me believe that a Snow White flume ride is coming themed to the Dwarves' mine.

Also makes me believe that in place of Aurora's side will be some sort of Wonderland attraction that will tie-in the teacups with the circus.

Not sure what will take place of SWSA but all of this is stacking up very nicely so far.

This is all my opinions of course.

Still can't wait to hear official word.
