the lack of much excitement in FL East just means we get two great rides now and there is room left over for more in the future, if they so choose. That's better than wasting all that space on fairies...imho, of course.

And it's also better than wasting a ton of room in FLE East on a bunch of M&G "Experiences".

Samuele I've gotta ask... what acts of stealth did you employ to capture those photos?? Quite a few of them have got some interesting angles and heights! I'm especially curious about those of the iasw refurb. Looks like you got fairly close to the FL Skyway station...

Thanks!!
I just hopped on Dumbo and tried to focus on the works....
For the IASW, that's righte, I tried to take some pics from the old Skyway station!

(Sorry for the late answer, but this thread is exploding :) )

Here is the rough map I've been using to keep up with what I hear, updating and changing as needed.
This is what I know/highly suspect as of right now.
(Some scale may be a bit off...)

I wonder just how much room that really is. I know it looks inviting on the map, but FL before had a good number of planters and benches....

What?

What happened to Snow White's Scary Adventures? That's the first I've seen or heard of that being removed?

DPF, this is what I am getting out of it, Lee and juan, hot or cold me on this..

1. FLE eastern expansion will see Dumbo's Circus as we all know.. The land will be a little south of where we saw it on the blue prints... Honestly, we received the updated blueprint showing this at last years D23.

2. The tea cups will be on the cusp of the circus, and MAY or MAY NOT get a roof that is themed to the circus... This sounds like pure speculation and would not be consistent with normal Imagineering practices.

3. Casey Jr will be featured, but as a food stand north of dumbo...

This sounds like a real rumor. Creates cash revenue but still a minor attraction at best.

4. The circus land will take up most of, if not all of the eastern expansion pad...

This idea might be the worst I have ever heard. Likely means the toontown tents are staying. Cop out of the worst kind if true.

5. The area that was once going to be Pixie Hollow on the blue prints may be taken up by the circus or will be an expansion of a current franchise... Lee is trying to find out, juan, hot or cold or warm me if you know..

I still think this will be a downsized PH with a Wonderland or Neverland play area located next to it.

6. On the original concept art, Pixie Hollow was a large area, taking over Toontown, just north of Dumbo... This area may now be all part of the circus or a franchise that current is featured in the park... The area will not include a ride..

Told y'all. I guess I won't be exiling myself to the Imagineering forum afterall

Poor grizz:cry:

7. Cinderella lost her chateau, Aurora's may be going as well, but what ever is coming to that area will make up for lack of a ride in FLE east...
I think it may be getting repurposed. We will see.
Jist of it so far??? LOL...

Great summary!

The replacements are franchise already in the park.... what the heck else is carnival themed that is currently represented in the park besides Dumbo???

Country Bears? :lookaroun

Again, Lee's current diagram shows us that SWSA is leaving for a meet and greet. Make way for the Mine coaster in the west.:sohappy:

You promised to leave if there was no new ride in any of the new plans. Just because FLE east may be ride-less doesn't mean you are right.

That's a matter of personal opinion and ego.

I don't think that would so farfetched. The fact is that SWSA scares the crap out of youngsters - yeah, just like that other ride that got replaced - and even if it has SCARY on its name I wouldn't be surprised if parents complained about its creepy factor - again remember AE.

In fact, in the past, I have heard comments from people who turned out to be right about an upcoming expansion that they were looking into making changes to the ride so that it reaches its target audience more appropriately. Of course, that info could be wrong, or they could have changed the plans, but I don't think closing SWSA is just armchair imagineering.

Remember when Raven told us the princesses will be getting a M&G area that will be controversial to people??? SWSA is the answer.... Raven also said the area will not reopen and convert into something else that would also be controversial.. Now, question is, WHAT????

You are still exiling yourself from here... You said no rides at all.. ell, there appears to be new ride in the FLE western spur of the expansion, so you are still wrong.. Bye bye!!! :sohappy:

Could the mine coaster be controversial? I mean, if it does get announced I assume there will be arguments comparing it to BTMRR.

An Aurora ride? So it'll be controversial to move the M&Gs to SWSA but then what will replace that won't be. So I'm thinking an Aurora dark ride since Aurora was given the axe.

I don't think he meant the new ride in FLE would be controversial.. I think he meant the replacement of the thing leaving... For instance, if SWSA is closed, I wouldn't call the mine coaster its replacement... The replacement for SWSA, in the same building, would be controversial... That's how I took it... Maybe Raven can clarify?

Maybe the M&G area will be on the land now taken by SWSA.

Maybe the fact that the ride has seen no exterior refurbs, differently from pretty much all other FL rides, is a good indication that it will close.

I kinda assumed that a M & G replacing the ride was the controversial part.
