New Shots over the Wall August 5th

Do you know of or have heard of what is planned as a PH replacement if it doesn't happen and has anything new been greenlit yet?? if so, when will we hear about it, if at all??
In all honesty...as far as Phase 2 goes, I really don't know where everything stands at the moment.

My sources have been quiet the last couple weeks, so if something solid has materialized for Phase 2, I haven't heard about it....yet.

From what I DO hear...
Lutz is about a month late with his info. Staggs has had his way and all the issues he had are being addressed. M&Gs are supposedly still moving ahead as planned. Changes to the plan will be focused on the east side of FL.

Doesn't Disneyland have a small Pixie area for the Fairies? Couldn't WDW do something like this and place it in a new location. Would be nice to see a larger Toontown for Phase 2 but I don't see that happening.

I think the Fairies would fit nicely in the old Skyway building, if they would remodel it more into a Pixie Hollow setting. Just a thought that would put that area back in use again.

Yes, DL has a lovely little Pixie Hollow. Looks more and more likely that MK will end up with something similar.

The Skyway station was the proposed site for a Tink area a couple years ago. Almost happened, too. No idea if that is still in the mix.

The Skyway area would be the perfect place. Who loves seeing a gazillion strollers parked there anyways. Make use of the area!

Thanks Lee...

Still hoping, if anything is replace, the replacements are worthwhile and not just DVC carts or open area for "future expansion"....

Wow! That's a lot of dirt! Are they digging, moving or bringing in it?
Are any of the attractions going subterranean for any of the attractions, or is this just foundation work?

A nice little Pixie Hollow like Disneyland's I have no problem with, it does look really good and enchanting. Its just a really large one like shown in concept art to take up that big amount of space on the eastern side would be kinda a waste of real estate, when they could do something much more worthwhile and classic there, whether it be a dark ride or something else, that can appeal to all ages and male and female.

It's just fill that is being brought in.

I believe this "foundation" is really just the foundation of Ariel's Grotto and isn't anything new.
Yes.

That area that earlier appeared to be rebar forms in the ground now has cement forms above ground.
Still don't see that.
Here is what I see in those tiny photos:
Red is Ariel's grotto (the Mousesteps "foundation")
Yellow is the light colored patch behind one of the dirt mounds which is perhaps being mistaken for poured concrete.

Just curious, but why are the old 20,000 walls still there? By all accounts it looks like those old walls will be integrated into the new LM show building. Is it because the walls actually extend down into the utilidors? Just seems odd they didn't demo all of it.

Disney can save HUGE $$$$ in permitting by leaving the walls up. Working existing walls into the new structure classifies the building as refurbishment or renovation instead of new construction. It's kinda a type of construction loophole that saves money.

You'll notice Universal Studios Hollywood doing the same practice with their Transformers ride.

its this week coming up, but I might not be able to share anything depending on what I hear

Ah, don't be silly.
So long as you aren't directly involved, or working under an NDA, you can tell everything you know.
I do...
