DHS New Roundup Rodeo BBQ sit-down restaurant coming to TSL

Wouldn’t putting a merch location here be a problem with the limited space next to the entrance?

Well, the space was fairly big during the time it was used for Narnia/Jack Sparrow....Why not build one where it once stood?

It would work great before heading into "The Backyard" similar to the one in HKDL

In case it was not clear. This is basically the original plan with the roundup façades near the entrance.

Will it include facades similar to those from the first concept art?

This is a great idea...didn't even think of that. Would be weird with the Andy Backyard theming but that works. Al's would be cool.

This project won’t get the Toy Barn facade. That would be retail.

In this case, the ease with which old WDI concepts can be dusted off will allow us to get a nice addition. If they hadn’t already done the design work before it was cut in 2016, I doubt we’d be getting it now.

Looks really cute! I wonder if the early morning magic breakfast would be moved there - or just a "regular" early breakfast. I would hope this would be a character meal- even if just dinners, with regular lunch. Probably won't ever eat there (family of vegetarians= BBQ family style is just not going to be all that accommodating, generally), but it's perfect for the land, and for the average family with younger kids.

I think I would be more excited if the interior was more like the old HISTK playground aesthetic, with some toys placed here and there, and less like you were dining in the TSMM queue.

ooh, not a bad selection! I take back my "never going to eat there" if it is... It has a vegetarian entree, at least!

Don't know that this would be our choice for a meal, but happy to see them adding something, even if it was part of an earlier proposal. If TSL is around to stay, good to see them revisiting so quickly, well for Disney anyway. Would still like another flat ride or two. Can only hope this bodes well for the TS in sWGE.

It's not a bad approach... wait for the initial hype to dwindle a bit, then revitalize with a Phase II which includes a new attraction and a TS... a similar plan for Pandora seems to have also been suggested... it seems like an inevitability that they will add SOMETHING to SW:GE in the next 5 years or so and adding a TS at the same time would work well...

Yay! The rendering looks like you're sitting inside a cardboard box with character cutouts, which might not be my favorite, but it looks like it will fit in the land.

Anyone remember the black and white live Woody's Roundup show from DL? (Not sure if they had it at WDW.) It's too bad they didn't revive that. I always thought it would make nice dinner theater.

I wonder if they will move the woody statue or they will make path on the other side and leave the statue in the middle? like an island?

Just a thought. Could this possibly be a "relocation" of the Whispering Canyon antics? It would free up that space in WL to bring back a non-chatacter signature location to the resort.

Is this the new game plan for WDW? Phased openings for new areas?
TSL opens with cuts, and then they phase in rest later
SW:GE will open with ONE ride, no TS and then phase in 2nd ride?

Just curious as this seems to suddenly be the pattern
