New rope drop process at MK

Does anyone know if they let u enter into the Emporium once the group passes in front of it? I thought they might block it off thinking people would run through the stores.
If you attempt to walk the length of the store only, you will be escorted back to Main Street. If you are truly shopping, you will be left alone.
The madness only lasts for the first 10 minutes.

This is not meant to encourage anyone to rush over to MK for the Sunday rope drop. Because this may not be much help given the popularity of the toys, but if your plans are already to be there I have been told by a friend who was leaving work at MK last night he saw at least eight pallets of Frozen dolls staged near Fantasyland Saturday night. So if the doll is important to your princess send someone in your party to the shops early. But even then you may not be early enough.

I would like to know your thoughts on how early people are lining up at MK for rope drop. Since the people at the front near the rope will presumably have the advantage, how early are people showing up for those spots? I wondering specifically for the 23rd.

Not much advantage to the front of the line when they are marched down the street slowly and shoulder to shoulder and back of ankle to the following stroller. Then slowly passed through the castle entrance and controlled to the M&G.

Still can not get fastpass + for Anna and Elsa. I mean what a lousy system. I'm a season pass holder that lives in NJ and I can not get them without standing on a 200 minute line because I am not staying at a Disney resort. Reward the people who go to the parks early by letting them get fps like before this horrible system. No ride should be "sold out" before you even get to the parks. This system is so broken!

they are often even gone at the 60 day mark.
Keep checking back. I've seen some have luck.

So basically, it's horrible because it's not working in your favor?

I'm an annual pass holder and I was able to get fast passes.

Broken for you or for everyone in general?

No Broken because why should there be no fps left for anyone that does not stay on property. To make this work, you need more locations for popular characters. I'm not being penalized for using my fps on other things, I'm being penalized for not staying on property.

Broken for anyone that isn't staying in their overpriced, mediocre resorts with horrible transportation system. I've stayed on property 4 times, and then I wised up. Unless you're staying on the monorail line or in one of the Epcot resorts, there is no way that Disney offers a good deal on their hotels

No FPs.. but you can still go without FPs. And there are lots of times when FP is available, just maybe not when you want it.

Everyone faces contention for FPs even if you are onsite. Instead of crying over how Disney is 'unfair' or 'broken' or 'discriminating' because you think the one model used previously was the ONLY model that should be considered.. why not take a more open view and consider there is more than one path, and the path chosen here can be justified.

IMO you have it backwards, the folks staying on property are being rewarded for doing so you are not being penalized for not staying on property.

And thus you do not get the perks of staying on property. Nothing unfair about that as you are making that choice not Disney.

Then you suffer the consequence by not receiving hotel perks. Cry a river and build a bridge but there's nothing unfair or broken about this system.

Enjoy doing rope drop to meet Elsa and Anna.

I don't see the Beach Club or the Grand Floridian as a "mediocre" resort. But that's my opinion and with an additional $2 will purchase you a cup of coffee

I am not picky about when the time is that we see them. I'm flexible for anytime on our trip. Open - Close, anyday that we are there during our trip. I just can't even find an available time. It always has them blocked out and says "standby" available. If you can't get a single fp for an attractions when you're visiting a park for 8 days, then I'm sorry but the system is not working. That's not correct at all. Just add additional locations or solve the problem somehow. If you looked right now, I can't seem to find anytime. Any suggestions? I'm not missing out because I'm being picky

FP's aren't guaranteed. You can always wait in the standby line if you so choose. If at this juncture you feel that waiting in queue for 300 minutes is too long, then by all means don't wait. Personally, I wouldn't want to wait that long for some mediocre cosplay photograph.
