I fully expect the sequels to kind of be built around the assumption you don't really care about Avatar 1 anymore. Like I wouldn't expect Jake Sully to really even have a large presence in the movie, there's a whole new cast of kids they are hoping will carry it. I think they'll really take the approach of "come see this brand new story set in the world of avatar" rather than playing into "all your favorite nav'i are back and blue-er than ever!"

Cameron is a great story teller..... He is obsessive about details.... Even if you didn't see the first one, I bet he will anticipate that experience and connect you to it. Not make the Star Wars "Skywalker is the basis of everything" assumption

I don’t understand how Indy fits at all. Zootopia could be set as a “sequel” and have some sort of conservation storyline. But I don’t see how they can make Indy fit at all. But if it is Joe, I have faith it’ll be fine.

It's a b easy fit. Indy branches out to anthropology with a scientist friend and they find dinos. Better than a bunny cop. And I liked zootopia.

Oddly enough, I have the exact opposite viewpoint.

As do I. I don't think Indy is a great fit, but they can theme Indy into South America or wherever and shoehorn it in to a certain extent. Zootopia is no different than putting in Robin Hood because it has anthropomorphic animals.

Also, I love Robin Hood. Let's get Robin Hood and Sword in the Stone rides in Fantasyland.

I for one can’t wait for The Great Mouse Detective to get a full blown Victorian London land in Animal Kingdom.

Just a quick internet search shows these pieces of concept art.View attachment 398220View attachment 398221 While it definitely would have issues, I know there are other “boat safari” rides out there.
For instance, I seem to recall hearing about one at a Mexican nature park called Xcaret.
They need to build this and repurpose the land JC sits on. I hate myself for saying it, but JC seems out of place with AK around now. Note sure how a mix of real and animatronic animals would work, but JC could carry on in spirit especially if this has skippers.

Look up Tiger River Runs to see why they didn't go in that direction (other than budgetary). JC is also iconic and has a movie being released next year. In addition to that, JC is a great fit for Adventureland.

Might I also add, that internally, JC is here to stay for the long haul. Though, there may be some significant changes coming to the ride's route and dare I say 'improvements.'

5th gate? Just build a new resort Bob.
I don’t understand how Zootopia is a bad for for DAK. No stranger than Beastly Kingdom.

IDK. Indy makes no sense to me.

What might be cool would be like a land themed around dinosaurs. Kids love dinosaurs. I bet they could figure out how to make that fit.

Interesting. How do you think they could skew it? Maybe poachers?

As I have said and explained thoroughly: there is no possible way to make Zootopia fit DAK. The world of Zootopia undermines nature and takes place in a world where it has become anthropic.

Indy could easily be skewed however. However not using dinosaurs... or poaching. Dinosaurs would obviously be out of place and feeds on the misconception that an aechaeologist is a paleontologist; they have nothing to do with one another and Indy could not care less about a dinosaur; not anymore than a doctor or a physicist would.

Instead, if you recall, DAK likes to examine man's relationship with nature. This is something that an archaeologist would study. Indy would be studying a relationship between a civilization (large or small) and an animal (real or fictional). Think almost E:E.

Beastly Kingdom is still about animals, even if they're fictional animals. Zootopia is about people in animal form.

Not again...

Just read the last few pages to understand why it doesn't.

Well now a boat version of Kilimanjaro Safaris in Asia would be totally feasible and could be similar to JC. But TRR is obviously not sp feasible.

Either way, a classic like JC should be plussed (though for its current state.... almost to the point of rehaul) even if only for the fans of the classics.
