The current tiles will not be reused. New ones will be printed. They're being moved to outside the gates, yes? Hence relocated. Did I use the wrong term?

Okay, this piece of news I missed. TY.The current tiles will not be reused. New ones will be printed.
There will be leave a legacy photos outside the gates. But the current plates will not be relocated or moved. They're being moved to outside the gates, yes? Hence relocated. Did I use the wrong term?
If the original plates are not relocated, what would stop Disney from having a digital display where you call up your image via magic band? Perhaps wording in the contract?
Imagineers don’t do this sort of work.I assume Disney will be removing the photo plates for relocation before the monuments themselves are moved. Not much to see there other than a bunch of imagineerspopping offdetaching the plaques.
I was kinda hoping that this thread would be like the BAH thread, where we would see daily destruction/dismantling photos.
Except there would need to be photos of picture removal / reinstallation too. Once it’s clear photos are gone from each monolith, hack away.
Wrecking balls really aren’t used anymore and wouldn’t be used for such small structures. Why can’t they just smash these things with a wrecking ball? If not , TNT? Seriously though , do they really need to remove the pictures before pulverizing the monoliths , since they aren’t saving the photo plaques anyway ?

You're aware this is not an actual cemetery, right? It’s called sensitivity.

It’s called sensitivity.
This is funny content right hereI’m very aware. But as others have already indicated they have family members or themselves on those stones. I want the monoliths gone just like everyone else. But come on, people went to the trouble to pay to have their photos placed there. You don’t just pulverize through them just because duplicates are placed elsewhere. Have a little respect.
Correct, like the sensativty they showed towards the commemorative brick at MK.

Not really, the reason they aren’t just being “pulverized” has nothing to do with sensitivity. The difference is the walkways aren’t vertical with photos placed against them.
