News New Parade: Magic Happens

In the past, Did Disney buy new chassis for every new parade they needed? I grew up during the time that Disney would do parade changeovers overnight or at the latest a month or two. This thing with Soundsational seems overboard to me! All this does is expect an announcement at D23. Hopefully DL is prepared!!!!

It's truly amazing to me that the two best parades DL has at the moment, Soundsational and PTN, seem to be on the entertainment **** list. Granted, Sounsational is due for a replacement, but MSEP was beyond offensive years ago.

I'm sure MSEP and Christmas Fantasy will still be playing 60 years from now when I'm lying incoherent in a nursing home, long after they've bullied all other entertainment out of existence.

I kinda wish Disney would update us on what’s going on with parades. We all thought Electrical Parade was dead and destroyed meanwhile apparently it’s still alive and somewhat well. Meanwhile the rumors was that Play Parade was gonna return to DCA, now it’s apparently dismantled. I just wish they would put in their press releases “this is the last time you’re ever gonna see this parade” rather than making everyone play guessing games as to what’s permanently retired and what’s still going.

Still playing catch-up on this thread. Is it true this parade will be premiering spring/summer of 2020? If so, this is all super disappointing. I understand PTN is an operational nightmare at the moment, but running Soundsational/MSEP back to back would at least bulk up the entertainment offerings, even if MSEP is thirty years or so past its prime...Do they really need to scavenge Soundsational for parts so badly that it needs to be dismantled a year before the new parade debuts? Even running a shortened version would be better than nothing.

Will be at Disneyland for the first time in August and am really feeling like I've chosen the worst possible time, between the Red Car Trolly down for refurb, losing PTN, now also losing Soundsational and getting MSEP (which I've seen many times before during its stint a WDW) as a consolation prize.

Just to let you guys know that Disneyland reused or rebuild floats all the time, even in the 80's and 90's. For example, remember Disneyland did The World According To Goofy Parade back in 1992? Well, they have an opening float for Professor Ludwig Von Drake and the book floats. And now few years later, they become floats for A Christmas Fantasy Parade. And for Walt Disney's Parade of Dreams, they turned the castle float into a villains float for Disneyland Frightfully Fun Parade. So you see, this is normal that they have to change the chassis of the floats. I know, there are some formal problems of changing floats during Share A Dream Come True Parade before they did Festival of Fantasy Parade, but like I said, Disneyland does that all the time. And there's nothing to be concern or upset about. ;)

I think the fact that Soundsational is ending so early is what caught us off guard. We all knew this could be Soundsational's last year. But now it's ending without a replacement announcement for now....


I wonder if DL should wait until D23 For a announcement. Maybe DL'S Birthday would be better, so we're all not wondering if it'll be included at D23?

I'm sure it'll announce on D23 Expo or earlier on Disney Parks Blog.

So it seems like LittleMonster who announces the rumor new parade is a cast member and talking bad about Bob Chapek is in deep trouble and KeepTheMagicAlive is also a cast member has a good point. That user shouldn't do that and it's not the user's job to that. I won't be surprise if that user gets fired if Disneyland saw this. I say bravo for KeepTheMagicAlive for teaching LittleMonster some manners, unfortunately the rumor is already spreading on the internet. And also, shame on LittleMonsterPageantHelper for being blabber mouth buttmunch for blabbing the rumor of a new parade and being a total jerk on Bob Chapek even though I have mixed reactions of him.
