Do we even know what the show is going to be like? I've seen people say that it won't be like WoC because the water isn't suitable. But what will it entail?

Is this going to be a show at a certain spot in the water with changing effects (lasers, projections, fire, etc.) or is it going to be a moving show (like a parade of barges on the water)?

I wish this show would be major and mind blowing like WOC or better but it doesn't sound like it will be. Maybe projections on the TOL, water screens, lanterns, live music..

Given that it can apparently be up and running in 6 months, I would imagine not.

Doesn't it require all of those fancy lights on the Tree of Life, though?

Seriously though, are there any details about this show haha? Besides that it's at night and it MIGHT feature water or projections or something...why hasn't Disney released more about this?

Well the renderings are so fantastic... No wonder we know so much.

*sarcasm*

I am surprised no one has spilled the beans on what this show is actually about. We know less about this then we do Avatarland.

I dunno...IF the show does have something to do with the Discovery River, they're going to have to clean out all the friggin' scum and moss out of the water....it looks like crap around August especially!

And aren't there Gators? I mean...it is Florida?

im basing that on most people are saying this summer and the parade is going away in June...why would they pick june to end the parade
Because FotLK will reopen so they believe they can lose the capacity (falsely, many would argue) and have wanted to get ride of Jammin Jungle for awhile now to help pay for Festival of Fantasy?

Disney can't build a new restroom complex in 4 months, let alone a nighttime spectacular in a park not really designed for one. Considerable clearing will be required to even have a viewing site. Unless they are going this route:

I think 2015 would be the earliest reasonable timeframe for this company.

So, it does bring up the question as to when the night time show will actually begin... My impression is that TDO plans to start the night time show (and one would think the longer hours that go with it) well before Pandora opens in 2017. Do any insiders have a sense for the time frame? I've seen summer 2015 bandied about and that seems like sufficient time to get all the logistics worked out.

I also wonder if we might see a new parade start around the same time. Without having the day time large scale entertainment (and even with it, arguably), it is hard to justify having longer hours into the night time in DAK. The park is wonderful to wander around in and "explore" but at some point, you have to have enough rides and shows to keep people occupied for a full day if you will be open 12 hours or so.

I know this goes against what many people are suggesting but I always presumed the nightshow would go hand in hand with Avatar opening (maybe not the same day, but very close) simply because there isn't enough to keep someone the whole day without the Avatar expansion...

Completely blue sky and I am 99% sure it wouldn't happen but if they were to bring back the parade in a later slot to keep people in the park until closer to dusk before the nighttime entertainment I guess it could work.
