Good thing it's only temporary . The fact that they did use chain link instead of the traditional painted wood makes me think it'll be there a very, very short amount of time.

What's the honeycomb for?

The honeycomb is just a proper way to let focused light thru.
At the focal distance at which they will be aiming and focusing the intelligent fixtures you won't see that honeycomb pattern. Other shapes can cause focus issues.

On the MDE app on my Android phone it is now showing times as late as 12:30am for making restaurant reservations in AK for my date in June. The late times aren't available to book yet, but I was surprised at how late it looks like they may be open. The website is still only showing times through 8pm.

Agreed... Credit where credit's due, and everything we've seen coming out of RoL, and DAK in general, doesn't look like it will disappoint.

They normally test the shows when the park is closed.

With daylight savings this weekend, it's impossible to see them testing any part of this show. Animal Kingdom park operating hours don't reflect anything later than 7:00 pm for the next several months.
