WDW hasn't switched to the new heads yet. TDR and HKDL will switch to the new looks as well, as it is a global change.

They will soon be spotted when MSEP returns to Disneyland next year, the return of Fantasmic next summer, and PTN.

WDW hasn't switched to the new heads yet. TDR and HKDL will switch to the new looks as well, as it is a global change.

WDW will get them around the beginning of the year. They do of course already have them in the royal friendship Faire but as for meet and greets and such they will come later.

Well that sucks. Why can't they do them simultaneously? If they can get a crappy new Jasmine out at the same time, then they absolutely can get a great looking new Mickey out too.

I agree but it seems they are doing one thing at a time. A jasmine outfit can be made on WDW property. The heads are made elsewhere. The new Mickey and Minnie heads that blink and talk also use a new technology that might be holding them back a bit.

Rolling out a new Jasmine dress is a relatively easy job. Replacing the dozens of mouse heads used every day is a much bigger job. The number of heads needed at WDW alone is mind boggling.

they don't really roam, they go t a designated spot and stay there for 30 minutes each then switch out.

Understood. There are a lot of Mickey complexities due to WDW's size that none of the other resorts have to deal with.

Characters don't roam in Hong Kong, they are almost all in locations. DLR and DLRP have some roaming characters and TDR is almost all roaming.
