I've eaten there a bunch of times and never had a problem with the food. I actually think that in terms of food alone it is better than 50s or Sci Fi in that park.

You have to watch reviews. Some of the people that do not like it have a tendency to expect more american watered down Olive Garden style.

Agreed, I consider this to be the most underrated restaurant on site, and one of the few I recommend to others.

New menu looks much like the old one, all our favs are still there. Hate the calamari (for two) appetizer cause, we like most of the appetizers and on the DDP Deluxe plan they charge you for two appetizers even though it's only $12.99

I agree. I've been to MM several times and had slow service once or twice but no complaints about the food. Some of the reviews seem overly harsh.

We were very reluctant to eat there becuase of the reviews but tried it last July and found the food to be better than average. Service could have been a little better but nothing that would keep us from returning. Try it and let us know what you think!

had good food and love advance seating for Fantasmic

We ate there in January and was pleased with the food. Much better quality food than Sci-Fi. I'm very happy MM now has the advance seating dinner for Fantasmic.

Mama Melrose is a favorite. In fact I have a ADR there this August for my 70th birthday. When I told my DIL who will be with us said "oh good, that's my favorite place." I learned a long time ago that the only review that counts is mine.

I enjoy eating at Mama Melrose's, the food is great. Our problem was never the menu, but the length of time it takes to be seated. Maybe it's poor luck the past few times, but it has been an hour wait after we check in at our scheduled ADR time.

interesting. i actually have the opposite view point. it's TOO watered down for me. although, i'm from new york, where we have a different understanding of italian food.

i always say italian is the hardest food to please everyone with. it's SO personal, based on the sauce/breading/style you grew up with as tradition in your family.

I was there the beginning of March and the menu looks the same except for the choice of desserts. There was no choice.

We first tried it because of the Fantasmic advance seating perk and now its always a must do! I agree on the slow service though.

Hopefully the new chef isn't as attached to the salt shaker as his predecessor.

My only complaint about MM (and I've eaten there twice) is that all of their food is way too salty.

We've always enjoyed Mama Melrose's despite reviews I've seen otherwise. But I like some of the new additions and I KNOW my DH will too. We might just have to add it to our list of restaurants for our next trip in '13.:slurp:

Regardless of a change in menu I'm not sure that I could bring myself to eat there again. It wasn't just bad food; it was also bad service.
