New "Land" in Animal Kingdom

There was a poster on this board about 4-5 months ago. I forgot his name, it might have been SpAcEsHiP EaRtH or something , it was written just like that. Anyway i'm not sure if he was banned or anything but he was damn annoying and Imagineer Jer reminds me a whole lot of him.

>>>Pheneix, calm down man.<<<

Hey, there's no panting mad man behind the keyboard here. ;)

I'm sorry, but when someone starts using their age to their advantage in an forum that practically prides itself in being an environment where every voice is heard, it is extremely unsettling, and kind of insulting. No one, not myself, not Jer, not anyone is without sin here.

Of course, when you have a blatant troll trashing the boards, then it is perfectly okay to rip into them (ain't I a hypocrite?), as they have no useful purpose here and are abusing the privilege to post on this forum.

Time will tell whether or not Imagineer Jer is a troll or just a really excited Disney fan. Everything I have seen so far convinces me of the latter.

I think that if Disney were to announce any new major ride it should be a while after the hype for Mission:Space dies down. I mean what would most people do? As soon as they hear the announcement, they would probably cancel their current trip for M:S and come back in a few years when the new one opens to hit both attractions. Then again I'm a 16 year old that probably doesn't know much in the world of business.

Maybe they could use M:S as a platform to announce a new ride

Frankly, I would like to see anything new in any of the parks. (I am thrilled over Phillar and M:S!) Anything new would be nice except another Dumbo copy. Eveyone knows we have more than enough of those. I think Australia would be great in either Epcot or AK. In Epcot they would follow cuture in Animal Kingdom it would be animals. If it all came down to it I would say Animal Kingdom. But it really doesn't matter cause I haven't seen it built. But in the words of Genie "Here's hoping."

Animal Kingdom also explores the cultures of the lands the presented animals come from, in many ways better than they do at Epcot--you certainly get a more comprehensive look at the native countries of these animals at Animal Kingdom, and a walk through Harambe Village, for example, is filled with the culture of an African town--disney definitely did their research when theming Animal Kingdom. Granted, it may not be fair to compare the two when Epcot has not received a new country in about fifteen years, and they show eleven countries as opposed to Animal Kingdom's six lands.

New "Land" in DAK

I'd like to see something new at the Animal Kingdom but NOT a roller coaster. I just don't think that it would fit. A roller coaster at another park would be good if everyone needs this kind of an attraction but not at DAK. I was looking forward to and hoping that the Beastly Kingdom would become reality...that's the kind of fantasy that no one does better than Disney. Australia would be excellent too! 6 DAYS!!!

I guess I read "Hey!" as "Hi!" ~not as a rude form of address. But anyway, I'm with the majority of the people here. I'll believe it when I see it.

O.. Sorry......

In that case I owe an apology to Jeremy for that remark
about the Employee Locator.

A major roller coaster has been in Animal Kingdom's plans from day 1, so it is no stretch to believe its next major E-Ride will, indeed, involve a coaster. I trust that disney can theme this ride extremely well so that it works in this park. Imagine Busch Gardens, only done well.

If you don't mind me asking, and i mean this in a completely non-threatening, non-questioning way, but where did you get your information, and do you have any more?

I heard they were going to add a new attraction at Animal Kingdom called "A Sloth's Life".

It would have involved standing in a slow moving line for 20 minutes that only moves you about 10 feet. Unfortunately, sloths live in South America and didn't really fit into any of the lands.
