Don't forget the Jungle-themed Haunted Mansion! This park is making full use of its humungus Adventureland.

I think the reason there i sa close up of the ride list for tomorrowland is to show that Autopia really is coming to the park.

Where did you hear about the Jungle-themed Haunted Mansion? Also, where is it in the park? I don't remember seeing it on the map.

LOL, yes! Also, its great that designers of Hong Kong Disneyland aren't afraid to build outside the berm, or railroad-track boundary! :animwink:

The jungle-themed HM is gonna be in Adventureland (which makes HM the only disney mk-style park attraction to never be in the same land twice in any of the 5 mk parks) I read it in an article somewhere.

I can live without a Frontierland in this park, it already looks so beautiful and charming, it's quickly becoming a favorite of mine. The small castle perfectly represents the park, small and charming.

my ranking of mk style parks:

(1) Disneyland Paris - mind-blowingly beautiful
(2) Hong Kong Disneyland - so what if it has few attractions? It looks gorgeous!
-tie-
(3) Disneyland - Has the most rides and most complete but (hate me if you must) I just feel it is a little too crammed and isn't exactly as coherent as Paris is.
(3) Tokyo Disneyland - It looks absolutely gorgeous and regal but the covered mainstreet and sheer unoriginality turns me off.
(5) Magic Kingdom - It would be number 2 if only it didn't feel so incomplete.

This idea of a Haunted Mansion in a jungle is an interesting concept and I cannot wait to see some concept art and the finished product. I'm glad to see that there will be some originality in this park. I'm assuming that the internal part of the ride will have to be quite different than the current versions as it is in a jungle.

I must admit, I was a little afraid of the park only having 3 lands, but now I think it is okay since they seem to be stacking them with attractions.

Bring on the concept art! Make me wanna go there!

I think a Haunted Mansion on Main Strret like on a side street would be a better fit than in Adventureland. I just cannot think how you would have a haunted mansion in a jungle. Doombuggies would just seem funny with vines all over the place. It will be interesting to see this park grow.

while it would thematically fit in Mainstreet, logistically, having an attraction like the haunted mansion on area that is used as the parks main entry way would seem pretty wrong and just plain weird.

Obviously you haven't lived in the tropics!! When I was a kid growing up in the South Pacific, there was an old run down former colonial mansion from the turn of the century. It was kinda weird because you'd take this dirt path with nothing but the rain forest around you, and then BAM you'd come across this huge ruin of a white house in the middle of the forest. It was built during the days when it was a coffee plantation. It always gave me the chills when I'd pass the place, and this is in the hot humid tropics!! So I think it would work if the story was laid out well. But that's just my opinion.

I'm beginning to think that's what they're planning for the new HM

That would work... and remember.. they should keep the tradtion of it being in a different land at each park.....

Oddly enough, I placed the Haunted Mansion in Adventureland in a mock-proposal I created for the Imagineer forum! However, mine is NOTHING like the jungle-themed HM planned for Hong Kong Disneyland. More specifically, the Haunted Mansion in my proposed Disney theme park is actually in Carribean Plaza (part of Adventureland), which I themed to a Carribean colonial settlement, along with elements of Disneyland's New Orleans Square; primarily seen in architecture (much of the architecture of New Orleans is in fact rooted in the Carribean), shops, and restaurants (Tokyo Disneyland's Carribean Plaza in their Adventureland has the exact same theming and approach as mine). WDW's Carribean Plaza has more of a Carribean fort-like design/theme to it. In other words, including the Haunted Mansion in Adventureland's Carribean Plaza is also a way of incorporating elements of New Orleans Square into my park, as well as finding a new land to place HM in! As for the design of my HM, the building itself would look similar to Disneyland's HM, but more ghoulish looking (ie: gargoyles on the building, etc.).

I also have an area in my MK park that uses elements of Liberty Square at WDW's Magic Kingdom, called Liberty Street, which is a short road off of Main Street with a group of Liberty Square-like shops and restuarants themed around the Hall of Presidents. In fact, the idea for Liberty Street came from Walt Disney himself, which he planned for Disneyland in 1956! However, Liberty Street never was built, and eventually evolved into Liberty Square at WDW's Magic Kingdom!

Just thought you'd like to know! :animwink:

It should not be on mainstreet but just off mainstreet within the mainstreet area. Just like the Plaza Gardens restaurant in DLP. It could be in the (not jet buildt) boot shaped building between Main Street and Adventureland in this picture:

There is a huge new photo update at www.Mouseinfo.com

Space Mountain’s new entrance looks great, as does Philharmagic and the restaurants. I am still not sure about Main Street and a few other things but it is looking good. Has anyone else noticed that it will not be called Mickey's Philharmagic but rather just Philharmagic.

Wow, the more pictures I see of it, the more I like it. Philarmagic has a really cool enterance. So does Space Mountain! Space Mountain probably has the best enterance of all the space mountains. Tomorrowland didn't end up like DL's. Adventureland looks great as well!

My only complaints: Pooh's enterance sucks, needs more shrubery and plants ( which I'm sure will happen in the comming years ), and Main Street isn't that detailed looking. Not to mention that it needs more rides. Other than that, it can be a great park! :sohappy:

There is a chance I could be heading to Hong Kong in the future. My company wants to open an office there. That would be sweet. I would go for the day or even an hour or 2.

It actually makes sense because the attraction barely even features Mickey Mouse. It is primarily features Donald Duck! Making it just Philharmagic is a good move.
