Wow, on Rob's video, note @4:12 ish, one green gondola is loaded with a mom, dad, little kid, a double stroller AND a single stroller. Didn't know there was that much floor space.

I think it's funny how he commented that he wants a car to himself as others may be odd with the talking... I presumed it to mean he wanted a quiet car. NOPE... he starts chatting it up on his own. Why do vloggers love the sound of their own voice so much?
He feels awkward shooting and talking to the mic with strangers. Especially since some drunken cretin called him all kinds of names for daring to live stream on a bus.

My first ride, right now. We were going to take the Friendship boat from DHS to EPCOT and saw the gondolas filling with people. Except for all the farting and the near death experience very pleasant. Also, I’ve been having severe back pain so if I can load right now, anyone can.
At least there should be a short line.

For those interested in similar urban gondolas:

A new Doppelmayr promotional site about the La Paz, Bolivia Mi Teleférico, including several professionally produced videos with very nice drone and ground shots: https://lapaz.doppelmayr.com/en/
Great videos. I especially loved the irony in one of them...

In the videos, there's no one in the stations loading and unloading passengers. People can just walk up and get on and walk off as soon as the doors open. Why can guests at WDW never seem to be able to figure out the easiest of things on their own? Suburbia? It's kinda sad, really.

Many cant figure out that lines exist and just randomly jump barriers, but you are expecting high level thought processes like "walking onto a slowly moving platform" to occur?

That's giving a lot of credit...Sometimes Im impressed that "average WDW tourist" remembers how to breath.

On Wednesday morning 10/16 we two FL resident passholders were at Epcot and checked to see if by any chance the Gondolas had opened early. They HAD and we had a pleasant trip from Epcot to the Hub and back to Epcot.. The HS line was not open yet (didn't until Thursday). The ride was very comfortable, airy (not hot.. outside temps in low 80s) and we were quite pleased. Only one brief pause with no problems at all. I can't wait to use it in the future. By next month when we return we hope to be able to park at HwStudios and journey to Epcot and back. We might even take the monorail from Epcot to the Magic Kingdom. If we plan a long-ish day we could do the three-park round trip without having to drive between parks.
We had no issues with the Gondola and look forward to riding again! Don't be scared, folks! It works!

So they do open earlier than the 8 AM posted opening time?

I doubt that they open before posted time. The morning we were able to ride (about 11 AM) was the first day they reopened and the opening time was supposed to be 1:00 PM. I believe they had been testing but am not certain.
The next day (Thursday) we went to the same Epcot station about the same time and were told it wouldn't open until 1:00 PM that day. I believe that the NEXT day, Friday, that the Gondola resumed regular scheduled use. But we were gone so we were unable to check it out.
I would follow the announced schedule in order to be sure.

Been hearing about the all-day rain in Orlando. Hasn’t this affected Skyliner ops, or are thing just chugging along as per usual?
Don't know, but it's not an all-day rain. The steady rain ended around 10am. Rest of the day is scattered showers & storms. So far, no thunder heard 10 mi. N of MK, and just one brief shower since the rain stopped.

Don't worry. It's the new trope. If you defend Disney or say anything nice, you're a company person or paid shill.

At least, that's what everyone on Universal's payroll says!
The ones you really have to look for are the Six Flags marketing folks.

They tend to take a middle of the road approach and try to get both sides riled up at the other...
