Well.. it's more than one.. and they appear on the storage rails... good signs.

I was curious why they were manually loaded the gondola at the far end vs loading from here in the test the other day.

I'm assuming that they were just doing a check of the fit and clearance at the HS station and not testing the lines yet. Can you imagine what the "Gawking of the Rubes" is going to be like for the first cabin sighted traversing the route between any station? Will there be an immediate traffic jam of Vloggers rushing to get in their required sasquatch sightings?

But the service gondolas have already been making that trip... it should not be the first time anything has traversed the line (if I'm keeping things straight..)

For the sake of us who are thousands of miles away let's hope so :p.

Ummm... isn't a glimpse of ANYTHING from one of these many bloggers/vloggers what threads like this live for?? I'm glad they're all out there tweeting their pics!

So with this "fleet" of gondolas arriving on site, is it safe to assume that we should see some testing soon?

Depends what you mean by testing. The haul ropes have been moving construction gondolas and one test gondola very slowly already. So, in that sense, testing has begun.

If you mean full speed testing with all the gondolas on a rope weighted down... our insiders have indicated that March would be the likely time for that.

Were you taking hallucinogens at the time? It isn't possible for there to be that much slack in the cable that chairs could bounce like that. Maybe it seemed to you like it was 10-20 feet but no way it really was.

I wish I took a video (or could find one online). They certainly fell over 10 feet, then the line was pulled taught (going higher than they were when the lift was moving) and then fell again. There is no mistake.

I read that before that Saturday (very crowded day) they we're testing weight by not loading all the chairs, so it's possible it was worse on that particular day.

Also note that the Copper chair was built by Poma while Disney's is Doppelmayr.
