3) In my opinion it’s a valid discussion to talk about potential issues from something that doesn’t yet exist. It’s what we do here. This particular problem has a very simple solution.

Sorry, I'm not sure I understand why you think I disagree with you. I agree 100%. It is a classic make a mountain out of a mole hill. I guess I just tend to go into more detail to try and get the point across that there are many that are greatly exaggerating the situation and advance panicking about how many people will be riding and underestimating how quickly they will be cleared out or thinking that they thought that Disney (a place that has been doing people moving for decades) didn't think of those problems and have a plan of action to handle it.

Photo update as of Friday, October 26, 2018. First gondola tower next to Art of Animation / Pop Century Skyliner station installed.

At the Art of Animation side of the Hourglass bridge (next to the Skyliner station), two large areas are behind construction fences, with a narrow gap for pedestrian access. The area in the foreground here has multiple plumbing (water and drain) pipes and electrical conduits, only half can be seen in the below photo. Restrooms? Food kiosk? Previously, I believe these two areas were landscaped. The Pop Century side of the bridge is mostly pavement. There is no construction like this on the Pop Century side.

That generator looks new, maybe they are locating the stations backup generator here instead of at the station itself.

Looks like that and the transformer are both for the gondola station. It appears each station has its own generator and the hub has two of them.

For whatever reason, Doppelmayr wasn't able to launch Omega V and D-Line at the same time in 2015. So CWA created a D-Line compatible version of the existing model called Omega IV 10 SI D. That is what the Skyliner appears to be getting. Regardless, every gondola cabin is custom made and Disney undoubtedly got exactly the ventilation it wanted.

Correct. Ski lifts are often relocated from one place to another. If the Skyliner gondolas don't work out, there are plenty of ski resorts which would be happy to take them off Disney's hands.

Vail has been doing this recently at many resorts to increase capacity. They have been replacing high speed quads with high speed six chairs, and then replacing other ageing or fixed chairs with the removed quad chair.

Even though many of the quads are pretty old, they are still perfectly sound mechanically, they will also send chairs etc. to other resorts if they don't end up using the terminals.

Aside from the different options that were purchased, the terminals (aside from Disney's) are standard, so if a lift is moved it might need some additional or modified towers and maybe more chairs buts that's basically it.

Yep beautiful brand new quiet Kohler generators for every gondola station as said above. And I think the plumbing and electrical look to be for a small bathroom and break room/office area for the transportation folks at the gondola station. Looks like all of the other gondola stations have this in them or near by so makes sense and then the generator is hid by the building too.

Lots of questions on how bad the lines will be at the end of a day. So what is a realistic expectation? Leaving from DHS actually seems worse than EPCOT because some people might want to take the gondolas and not the boats or walk.

Skyliner Room Counts:
AoA: 1984
POP: 2880
Caribbean Beach: 2112
Riviera: 300
Total: 7,276 @ 3 people per room = 21,828 people

EPCOT Resorts Serviced:
Boardwalk: 378
Boardwalk Villas: 532
Beach Club:583
Beach Club Villas: 282
Yacht club: 630
Swan: 758
Dolphin: 1509
Total: 4,672 @ 3 people per room = 14,016

How many will be at DHS?
EMH can pull extra people to different parks, however there are still 3 other parks, 2 water parks, pool days, Universal, Sea World, DS, ect. Lets assume EMH pulls a whooping 25% of guests to DHS that day (Lots of Star Wars Fans).
Skyliner Exclusive resorts: 5457 people
EPCOT Resorts: 3504 people

How many will be leaving at the same time?
Just a guess (someone probably has better numbers?) but lets say 70% of people stay for F! or Star Wars Fireworks
Skyliner Exclusive Resorts: 3820 people
EPCOT Resorts: 2453 people

Assuming about half of the EPCOT Resorts crowd takes the boats or walks, that leaves 5047 people wanting to get on the skyliner. At 5,000 people an hour it will take just over an hour to get everyone on board.

Compare that to buses for the 3820 at the exclusive resorts (EPCOT will take boat or walk). To get through all these people in an hour:
AoA needs a 100 person bus every 6ish minutes
Pop Needs a 100 person bus every 4ish minutes
Caribbean Beach 100 person bus every 6ish minutes
AND a Riviera 100 person bus every 30 minutes

The Skyliner will defiantly help get everyone back to their hotel much faster than buses even on pretty extreme days.
