Isn't the total travel time for the gondolas pretty short? I mean if it's a 30 minute journey I can see where A/C would be a big deal, but just a few short minutes, and they'll have some kind of vents for air to go through I'm guessing.

I don't think the covering is being used to hide anything, it's probably to protect the car since they are still doing work all around it.

No way. You can walk between the two parks in 30 minutes and these will be traveling faster than most people walk.

I think it will be less then that. Should be 5 to 10 minutes actually in the car per leg, and then whatever the transfer time is at CBR. Unless the lines are long you should be able to do the Epcot to DHS trip in less then 20 minutes.

Yes, you will have to transfer at CBR, but not at Riveira. This system has a huge capacity so there shouldn't be much of a line expect during the busiest times, like at park closing.

Which in 2018 are currently hotter inside than the interior of the ventilated gondolas will be. And a much longer ride.

That gondola shape reminds me a lot of the 8 person Poma gondola at Killington, VT.

Those are also CWA Omega cabins, albeit older ones. I don't know the numbers, but I think it's a safe bet that the Omega is the most common monocable gondola cabin on the planet.

I have heard everything from No Gondola or Friendships, Just Gondola, or both. Personally betting on neither being included, with security pushed in front of ticketing and expanded, and an extra row or two of tapstiles added.

Actual distance from IG to DHS along the Skyliner route is 2.1 mi. At 15.6 mph, that works out to 8 minutes traveling at full speed. Gondolas won't stop at Riviera, just slow down, which might take 2-3 minutes to pass thru the station. So adding a few minutes for acceleration and deceleration at each station, I think the time spent in the cabins from IG to DHS should be around 15 minutes, not including time spent walking and queueing for the transfer at CBR.
