They won't, but it would be cool if they used the technology they had at the Aichi Expo. In one of their gondola routes, the glass changed so you couldn't see out when the gondolas were over an area they didn't want guests to view. I believe it was a residential area in between two parts of the grounds.

Will the gondolas be visible from inside the park?

It's position and height might make it so you do not see it from the park. It only get's close to the park as it comes into the Epcot station so it might be low enough at that point where the buildings will hide it.

Thanks for the clarification.

Seems like a wasted opportunity not to connect the gondola system to the monorail though

Notwithstanding the issues of tower placement around the existing waterways, they really SHOULD be able to run the gondola cables very low around this area.

They have no choice but to be low there - since its going into the station they have to get to ground.
